Expert Analysis
Mark Johnson | Prep Redzone Scout
The top uncommitted prospect in Wisconsin is the big, athletic WR out of Milton HS. Ethan checks in at 6’5″ 195 lbs, and the senior uses that size to outmatch and overpower DBs. He consistently shows the catch radius and hands to be able to play above the rim and make catches in traffic. His ability to use his size and power is his main means of creating separation. Mitchell also is blessed with the body control to be able to make the difficult catches while twisting or contorting in midair. The senior plays the ball in the air well, has strong hands, a big frame, and the athleticism to play at the next level. Give the Top 10 WR a look.

Ethan checks off so many boxes to make him a matchup nightmare. He towers over DBs at 6’4″ 195 lbs. Ethan uses that size to create separation, box out defenders, and protect the ball with his size. Ethan isn’t just a big, redzone target. He is also blessed with athletic dominance. Ethan can get deep, gets out of breaks well, and is physical after the catch. Ethan also tracks the ball well. His QB just needs to get it close for him to have a chance at it. Check out the big man’s tape.

Rankings Jump: 85 SpotsrnEthan has crushed this offseason, showing off his complete skill set. It was already clear that the Milton product has an excellent frame for the WR position at 6’4″ 190 lbs. His film proved that he runs smooth routes, will play behind his pads for the yards after the catch/contact, and that he has soft hands and good body control to be able to adjust and track the ball in the air. Where he has really impressed this offseason started on the track. The big man has proven to have excellent speed and explosiveness for the next level to go with his massive frame. Speed and explosiveness that has earned him D1 offers in track and field. The more you watch him the more it is clear that he has a complete game for the WR position. This Class is loaded at WR, but Ethan is in a race for the top spot. He holds multiple D2 offers and an FCS PWO.

Ethan has put together a great summer on the camp circuit, and it has paid off with his receiving a PWO to South Dakota as well as multiple D2 offers. The 6’4″ 190 lbs playmaker sure looks the part of a college WR on tape. The big target has serious track speed that carries over to the football field. Speed that allows him to cross the field, get vertical, or pile up the yards after the catch if the defense hasn’t swarmed to him right at the catch point. Ethan is so smooth too. He strides right through his routes efficiently. The big man can flip a switch from that athleticism to dropping a shoulder and working for extra yards too. Lastly, Mitchell excels at adjusting to the ball. There is a lot to like with this out wide mismatch.

The 6’4″ 185 lbs WR has shown he can win in multiple ways. Ethan does his work from the slot, and has made himself a mismatch for a lot of defenses. Mitchell is a long target, and his ball tracking/ hands give him a big radius to target. Ethan has shown that he has the body control to win in the short passing game with effective, quick route running. Ethan also fits the big man role of stretching the field or being a go to in the redzone where he goes over DBs. Lastly, Ethan has strong hands to maintain the catch through the hit, even when the ball can’t be brought into his body.
