The rankings have been updated, commitments are locked in and signed, the most recent announcements have been accounted for. So who is the best in the state still looking for their collegiate home? Here in Wisconsin the talent has proven to be as deep as we expected in the Class of 2024, so there is plenty of talent out there to add to the ’24 recruiting classes. Let’s look at the strengths of the best available players within our new Top 100!
The top uncommitted prospect in Wisconsin is the big, athletic WR out of Milton HS. Ethan checks in at 6’5″ 195 lbs, and the senior uses that size to outmatch and overpower DBs. He consistently shows the catch radius and hands to be able to play above the rim and make catches in traffic. His ability to use his size and power is his main means of creating separation. Mitchell also is blessed with the body control to be able to make the difficult catches while twisting or contorting in midair. The senior plays the ball in the air well, has strong hands, a big frame, and the athleticism to play at the next level. Give the Top 10 WR a look.
Another bigger WR that has slipped too far under the radar for his talents is Milwaukee Marquette’s Thad Hoffman. The senior stepped up in the biggest moments, helping Marquette bring home a D1 State Championship. Hoffman has a strong 6’2″ 190 lbs frame. He uses it box out DBs at the catch. Thad also has the long speed to stretch the field at the HS level. At the next level he fits more into the possession role. A big target with the ability to create separation and the short area agility after the catch to shake DBs. Thad has the tools to become a reliable target at the next level. Dive into the tape below.
Next up we have another WR in Watertown’s Zach Steer. Zach is a mismatch in a different way than the two receivers above. This 6’1″ 180 lbs WR plays with speed that has proven difficult to match up with. If given a free release, Zach burns past CBs. If pressed, he has shown quick lateral agility to get around the defender and avoid the jam. Scher is able to easily track the ball and adjust to the path of the ball. He always finds a way to get underneath it right in stride. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Zach develop into an impact at WR or DB thanks to his physical skill set. Don’t sleep on him.

Tevyn put together a strong career at Bay Port making an impact at RB/FB/LB for the Pirates. The 5’10” 225 lbs athlete is very powerful and packs a serious punch on both sides of the ball. As a senior we saw Tevyn utilized in the offensive backfield as a lead blocker and ball carrier. With the ball, Tevyn is a physical runner who doesn’t waste time with lateral movements. He plays behind his pads, hits his aiming point, and then relies on his low center of gravity to bounce off defenders. As a lead blocker, Montgomery continues to show that low center of gravity and ability to get leverage under defenders and put them on their backs with his powerful leg drive. Tevyn is a ball of power that could be used in a few spots at the next level. Check him out.
The top defensive player is Pulaski’s LB Charlie Schuster Charlie Schuster 6’2″ | 200 lbs | LB Pulaski | 2024 State WI . The 6’2″ 200 lbs senior has inside/outside versatility, and while he still has to continue to fill out his frame we see him show off impressive pop and power when he makes contact. That tells me the ceiling is so high for the LB. Charlie is also an athletic LB. His tape consistently shows him winning with an impressive burst through gaps and closing on the ball or lateral quickness to avoid blocks. That quickness turns into power when he does have to beat a block with power or when he makes contact with the ball carrier. Charlie also seems to have strong instincts for the position, quickly reading the play and meeting the ball at the line. I am very intrigued by the talent base and potential here.
Coming off a D2 State Championship, JP now finds himself as one of the top available recruits. The ATH can fit in a few spots at the next level. I believe #1 is safety. There he can use his quick play recognition and range to roam the field making stops. The safety is instinctual, and has a knack for putting himself in the right place at the right time. JP is a safety prospect with both the mental and physical tools needed. As an offensive weapon, Doyle was a great decision maker with the football. Leading the triple option is no easy feat, but Doyle made it look easy. His acceleration allowed him to dominate between the tackles. The top end speed was more than enough to let him pull away in the secondary with his second gear. JP is instinctual, athletic, and still available. Don’t miss out.

We wrap up the Top 100 with another standout WR. While Mekai isn’t the biggest target at 5’9″ 160 lbs, he has proven to be a real problem for defensive backfields. Ward is a dominant vertical threat with speed that gets him behind DBs and off to the races after the catch. A race he essentially always wins. Mekai also wins with his agility and burst. Those two traits make him an effective route runner on short/intermediate routes. He can open up the necessary separation for his QB. He has the skills to fit well in the slot at the next level. Give the tape a watch.
