JP Doyle
About JP
Expert Analysis
Mark Johnson | Prep Redzone Scout
Coming off a D2 State Championship, JP now finds himself as one of the top available recruits. The ATH can fit in a few spots at the next level. I believe #1 is safety. There he can use his quick play recognition and range to roam the field making stops. The safety is instinctual, and has a knack for putting himself in the right place at the right time. JP is a safety prospect with both the mental and physical tools needed. As an offensive weapon, Doyle was a great decision maker with the football. Leading the triple option is no easy feat, but Doyle made it look easy. His acceleration allowed him to dominate between the tackles. The top end speed was more than enough to let him pull away in the secondary with his second gear. JP is instinctual, athletic, and still available. Don’t miss out.

Stats: 1/2, 20 Yards, 1 TD, 22 Carries, 118 Yards, 2 TDs, 11 TacklesrnJP led his team into an absolute battle with Waunakee in the D2 State Championship and came out on top. It was a dominant display of talent and the ability to take over a game from JP. The 6’1″ 190 lbs senior gave a master class on how to QB a triple option team. He seemed to always make the right choice with the football. His pitches were at the last possible second, leaving defenders no chance to chase the ball instead of tackling him. Doyle’s athletic profile is next level quality just like the mental side of his game. He has speed to go the distance and roam the secondary from sideline to sideline. His agility, burst, and change of direction are all major strengths, and you can count on him to make the tackle as the last line of defense. Doyle is one of the top uncommitted seniors in WI. Get on him, now.

Stats: 17 Carries, 243 Yards, 3 TDsrnJP has led his team on a dominant run through the playoffs, and it will culminate with one last game in Camp Randall. Every time I watch JP it quickly stands out how perfectly he fits in this option offense. He dominates the mental side of the job. You see him make quick, accurate decisions/reads. His instincts with the ball are next level as he knows where blocks are, and sets up defenders. Doyle checks off the physical side of the job too. He has the quick twitch agility to make defenders miss between the tackles. JP can accelerate very quickly out of the mesh point or jukes. His long speed lets him pull away from the field. The senior has a knack for making the special play look easy too. We have him as an ATH. I can’t wait to see where he fits at the next level because he has a lot to offer.

Stats: 1/1, 21 Yards, 23 Carries, 188 Yards, 3 TDsrnJP handles QB duties in the Badger option offense. He fits the job so well, especially after multiple seasons of experience. JP is a quick processor and consistently good decision maker with the football. Doyle sees the field very well, and when he finds the seam he has the burst/acceleration to fly through lanes and pull away with his top end speed. I’m excited to see where JP is used at the next level. I could see the ATH fitting on either side of the ball with his athleticism, size, instincts, and football IQ. This is definitely an athlete to know in the Class of 2024.
