Another wave of top prospects have announced their commitments to college programs. Because of that we are seeing a new group of prospects taking over as the best available in Wisconsin. These kids have the talent to help a program at the next level, so we are going to shine the spotlight on them. Their film is also linked, so make sure to check that out to learn even more about these kids. Let’s get started!
The current top available prospect in Wisconsin is Middleton’s safety, Thomas D’Onofrio Thomas D’Onofrio 6’1″ | 185 lbs | DB Middleton | 2024 State WI . The 6’1″ 185 lbs senior plays the part of a three level safety. An athlete who has the range to cover a deep zone, read and react traits, and ball skills to break up passes or create turnovers. Thomas also has the quick feet, change of direction, and burst to play man coverage. Lastly, Thomas is a sound tackler, and can be an impact against the run game. He can make stops in space, avoid blocks in the box, and fly through lanes to meet RBs. Thomas is a well rounded athlete with plenty of PWOs to choose from if he wants to play FBS football. Check him out.
The top OL/DL prospect in Wisconsin still on the market is Menomonee Falls’ Steven Scott III Steven Scott III 6’5″ | 260 lbs | OL Menomonee Falls | 2024 State WI . Steven has a frame that is ready to fill out in a college weight room. The big man is athletic, agile, and heavy handed. On offense, Steven is able to quickly get himself in position to wall off his man. His nimble feet then are able to drive his man off the line. On defense, Scott III has the ability to bull rush and wreck havoc. The heavy hands again come in use to force separation from the OL where he can then burst past them. Check out the tape of the talented senior.
Highlights
Nino is a big time sleeper. He is a huge prospect at 6’4″ 310 lbs. Despite the size, Nino has the short area burst to quickly slip into a position of leverage advantage. From there the naturally powerful athlete is able to create a big push in the trenches to open up lanes for the Menomonee Falls backfield. Nino is able to slide laterally in pass protection to mirror edge rushers. He has also shown awareness to pick up stunts. Nino may fit best on the interior, but either way he is a big time steal.
Another one of my favorite sleepers in the Class of 2024 is Milton WR Ethan Mitchell Ethan Mitchell 6’5″ | 195 lbs | WR Milton | 2024 State WI . Ethan checks off so many boxes to make him a matchup nightmare. He towers over DBs at 6’4″ 195 lbs. Ethan uses that size to create separation, box out defenders, and protect the ball with his size. Ethan isn’t just a big, redzone target. He is also blessed with athletic dominance. Ethan can get deep, gets out of breaks well, and is physical after the catch. Ethan also tracks the ball well. His QB just needs to get it close for him to have a chance at it. Check out the big man’s tape.
Jonathan is an exciting ILB prospect still available in WI. The 6’1″ 215 lbs senior can play sideline to sideline, and also can blitz around the formation thanks to his speed and closing burst. Ksobiech is also quick mentally. He diagnoses plays, reads the flow of the line, or mirrors the RB until he meets them in the hole. Jonathan is also a stout, reliable tackler who wraps up and runs his feet through contact. Don’t sleep on the rangy, stout, sound tackler out of Kettle Moraine.
