Jonathan is an exciting ILB prospect still available in WI. The 6’1″ 215 lbs senior can play sideline to sideline, and also can blitz around the formation thanks to his speed and closing burst. Ksobiech is also quick mentally. He diagnoses plays, reads the flow of the line, or mirrors the RB until he meets them in the hole. Jonathan is also a stout, reliable tackler who wraps up and runs his feet through contact. Don’t sleep on the rangy, stout, sound tackler out of Kettle Moraine.

Stats: 18 Tackles, 1 TFLrnJonathan needs to be on even more radars than he is right now. He has been a huge contributor as Kettle Moraine ended the regular season with their first ever Classic 8 Conference Championship. The senior LB has developed excellent instincts for the position. He is a true chess piece in the middle of the defense that you can use to shut down pieces of an opposing offense. Ksobiech has been used to mirror the QB, he reads the OL and mirrors RBs leading to him perfectly filling gaps and shutting down the run game. The senior has the speed, agility, and overall athleticism to be able to play sideline to sideline while avoiding blocks. On top of that, the impact senior has taken over at QB for the KM offense this season. This is a need to know senior.

Jonathan was one of my favorite LBs during season and most recent rankings update. He checks in at 6’2” 210 lbs, and perfectly fits the mold of what the next level is looking for in LB recruits. Jonathan is a very gifted athlete when it comes to his position. His acceleration when playing downhill or blitzing leaves little time for OL to react. His agility gives him the ability to play between the tackles while avoiding the trash. Where he truly sets himself apart is with his play in coverage. Jonathan is a smooth mover, can run with RBs/TEs, and reads the QB’s eyes well. I think we see things pick up stea quickly once that first offer comes in.

Stats: 8 Tackles, 2 TFLs, 1 Sack, 1 FRrnWe have recently seen multiple of these “new age” LBs getting the attention of the FBS level. The 6’1″ 205 lbs junior LB looks like the next one. While he doesn’t have that traditional size, Jonathan has special athleticism for the ILB position. Jonathan has the best range of any LB in this article, and some of the best in the state. He can play far outside his immediate area. He can get to the edge of the field, he read and reacts quickly, and he can play in space with ease. That athleticism allows the junior to make the unusual plays that enable his team tow in. We saw him chase down plays deep down field that otherwise would have been a score. Jonathan uses his short area quickness and agility to stop the inside run. Linemen have a hard time getting squared up on him to block him allowing Jonathan an easier path to shedding the block and making the stop. Ksobiech is going to be a heavily pursued LB over the next year. Don’t miss out on him.

Stats: 11 Tackles, 1 Sack, 1 FF, 1 TFLrnThe 6’1″ 205 lbs junior LB was a force Friday night against #1 seed Sun Prairie East. He lined up both inside and outside, and was impactful at both spots. Jonathan’s play processing impressed me most when he was at ILB. He trusted what he saw and instantly attacked to get himself in position to make the stop. There is no hesitation to his game. SP East field’s a dominant dual threat QB, and Jonathan seemed to contain him all night. Multiple times on designed run and scramble plays you could see Jonathan right there to make the stop. When lined up on the edge, Ksobiech used his superior first step and strength to bend around the edge to get to the QB. He is an exciting chess piece to have in the second level of the defense. The athleticism to play comfortably in space, and the strength to handle run duties between the tackles. A need to know prospect.
