To further emphasize just how talented this group is we are doing a Part II with another strong batch of next level talent. Don’t be late to the party on these athletes.
An athlete who is going to dominate the competition this fall is the Columbus athlete, Colton Brunell Colton Brunell 6’1″ | 205 lbs | ATH Columbus | 2024 State WI . The 6′ 210 lbs playmaker has lit up the stat sheet, and filled up the highlight reels with plays that point to him being a D1 talent. On offense, Colton has arguably the scariest blend of power and speed. He is built like a brick wall, making him a nightmare to bring down. His powerful frame also come with balance that allows him to take shots, and even be put into awkward body positions, but still bring himself back to level. If you don’t get the whole squad there to bring him down, Colton also has the speed to take it the distance through any seam of green grass.
On defense, that same physicality allows him to be a stout run defender in the middle of the defense. He can power through block attempts, is a hard hitter, and quick when it comes to play recognition. The junior also has the athleticism and change of direction to drop into coverage making him a viable three down option.
Jonathan was one of my favorite LBs during season and most recent rankings update. He checks in at 6’2” 210 lbs, and perfectly fits the mold of what the next level is looking for in LB recruits. Jonathan is a very gifted athlete when it comes to his position. His acceleration when playing downhill or blitzing leaves little time for OL to react. His agility gives him the ability to play between the tackles while avoiding the trash. Where he truly sets himself apart is with his play in coverage. Jonathan is a smooth mover, can run with RBs/TEs, and reads the QB’s eyes well. I think we see things pick up stea quickly once that first offer comes in.

An OL who has steadily climbed the rankings is the dominant Badger junior. Jackson has grown and filled out to an impressive 6’4” 270 lbs with room to continue to add strength. The run game is where Braden has made his mark. He absolutely mauls defensive linemen and sets the tone in the trenches with his very physical, and nasty mentality. Braden uses an excellent blend of hand placement, heavy hands, quick initial burst, and raw power to gain leverage, and then plow Dl off the ball and reset the line of scrimmage multiple yards down the field. Teams wanting to establish the run early and often need to get their eyes on Jackson.

The 6’4” 270 lbs junior DL came back from a torn ACL in under 6 months, and there was no loss of ability to be seen. Jace has proven over and over to be a stout IDL who can take on IOL, hold his ground, and then shed the block to make the stop at the line of scrimmage. That ability to control the line of scrimmage is key in controlling the game. His ability to eat up blocks also made it easier for the stud LB corps behind him to roam around and make stops. Miller also has impressive reps where he transitioned speed into power and an effective bull rush. Lastly, Miller plays with active hands that get him separation that he uses to get past OL. A big year is coming for the Franklin DL.

Teams looking for a mismatch nightmare at the TE position need to take a visit to Luther in Onalaska, WI. That is the home of the 6’7” 225 lbs junior TE Logan Bahr Logan Bahr 6’7″ | 220 lbs | TE Onalaska Luther | 2024 State WI . Bahr thrives in the passing game. He is a solid route runner for his size, and emphasizes the separation he creates with a natural instinct for how to use his body to box out opponents. Logan has soft hands, and catches the ball way from his body. Bahr is also a willing blocker. As he continues to develop his effectiveness in that part of his game you will see his stock take another jump forward. There is no doubt he is one of the best TEs available in the class.

While Jacques isn’t the biggest athlete at 5’10” 180 lbs he does hav eth traits to play at a high level of college football. His ability to track the ball and adjust to it are hard to match. His soft hands and rare hand-eye coordination allow him to make the highlight reel catch look simple. His body control and acceleration give him a major advantage in the route running department where he easily creates serration from DBs. After the catch, Brooks sees the field well. He seems to always know where a block is or what move to make in the open field. Don’t overlook the Franklin athlete. He has been one of the best at his position his whole career.

The top talent at the QB position is in a position to mold his traits into a D1 level prospect. He has the size at 6’4” 200+ lbs with an arm that matches his impressive frame. When Jack is in rhythm and gets all his cleats in th ground he can rip the ball downfield. You see examples of it all over the highlights. Him slinging the ball between two levels of defenders closing on the catch point. The footwork Suilk has in his drop backs is smooth, and it gets him in position to throw quickly. I love how aggressive he is with the ball too. He isn’t afraid to stretch the field, give his guys a shot, and trust his receivers. Keep an eye on Jack this summer and fall. Big year ahead for him and Burlington.
