Stats: 6.5 Tackles, 3 TFLs, 1 Blocked Punt
What a display from Tyler in Week 7. The senior dominated with his movement through traffic. He avoided blocks while still coming downhill to make plays against the run. The range was there to easily get him to the sideline and make tackles outside the box. As an interior blitzer, Tyler showed he could bull rush the center or flash a swim move to get around the IOL. Tyler is becoming a three down impact player. Great to see that he was able to earn an offer from UW-Whitewater recently. Check out the highlights!

Tyler is still one of the newer athletes to the football field despite being a senior, but the Week 2 tape looks like an LB with years of experience. The senior LB is a hammer that punishes the ball handler. He did so well keeping the ball in front of him and attacking it. Every step Vogt took looked like it was loaded up and ready for contact or to make a tackle. The range displayed also is very noteworthy, especially since he was able to move to the sideline while still having power in every movement. Tyler had a great night attacking the ball any time it was in front of him. Check him out.

Tyler is one of the athletes in this Class that is newest to the game of football. He only has a few years under his belt and is coming off his first year as a legitimate starter for Middleton. The rising LB turned that role into a team leading 89 tackles in 10 games. You have to love the tenacity that this kid plays with. It doesn’t matter if he is pursuing to the opposite sideline or fighting through the trenches to pressure the QB or make a TFL, Tyler is going 100 mph and playing with physicality. Vogt is very quick to read and trigger on plays as well. His mental processing is well ahead of his experience level, suggesting very strong instincts for the position. Get eyes on his tape, and get this kid on campus for camps. He is an athlete that is going to be on the rise.

of Middleton. Tyler is new to the game, only playing football the past few years, but it is clear that he has an outstanding base of athleticism to build and develop his game around. The 6’1″ 200 lbs junior ran 4.81 in the 40, 4.35 in the shuttle, 9’2″ in the broad jump, and 7.11 in the L-Drill. Balance, change of direction, and explosive acceleration are key parts of his ability to play in space.
Those traits were on display beyond the testing portion too. Tyler is an efficient athlete that attacked with purpose and with quickness. 1 on 1 in space vs the run, Tyler was able to quickly close and wrap up vs the agile RBs, and truly showed off his three down versatility with his play in pass coverage. The junior LB is quick to see route breaks and mirror them to stay tight to the RB through the route so he can break up the pass at the catch point or at least create disruption to make the catch as difficult as possible. Get this kid on campus this offseason.
