. In his junior season the 6’2″ 195 lbs RB displayed a very well rounded game. He saw his carries push closer towards 100 total touches, and more impressive than that is we saw his receptions go from 2 up to 36. A kid with his size being a threat to run it just as much as he is to catch it puts a lot of stress on the defense. On the ground, Elijah brings versatility too. When he gets to the edge you see him really open up his long strides to cover ground quickly. Yet between the tackles Jackson shows that he has the quick feet to be able to juke or jump cut to make defenders miss. Elijah is steadily improving and seeing his workload go up. I’m excited to see what we see in his final season on what should be an explosive offense for Middleton.

A junior RB to get on campus and into camps this summer is Middleton’s Elijah Jackson. The junior has a bigger frame than the usual RB at 6’2″ 185 lbs. He has a wingspan to match and hands that are 9.5″. Elijah was able to post a 9′ broad jump and post a very impressive 6.93 L-Drill. For a bigger frame, Elijah is able to carry himself on the field very fluidly. As a route runner, Elijah was able to run some of the smoothest routes in the group. Plus his ability to make the sudden route break helped him open up plenty of separation for his QB to target. The bigger back should have a sizable workload this coming fall on varsity. Get on him way before that time comes around, though.

Elijah is an intriguing sophomore RB. He stood out from the crowd with his bigger frame for the position at 6’2″ 190 lbs. Don’t let the big frame fool you. Elijah was a smooth athlete on the field. Jackson finished with an 8’11” broad, 4.85 40, and 7.33 L Drill.
All solid numbers, but once we got to drills Elijah played faster than he tested. His long strides covered ground quickly when he was out in space running routes. The sophomore caught the ball well in drills. It was great to see him display the short area agility that also shows up on his varsity tape as he runs between the tackles. Elijah carved out a key role on varsity in 2023. I’m excited to see how these next two years unfold as he develops further. He is definitely an underclassman to watch.
