During the offseason, Ethan has proved to be a very strong, athletic linebacker who, of course, had to put in a ton of work to accomplish. He’s one of the best linebackers in Michigan when it comes to the offseason.

In-season, Ethan has plenty of flashes. There are points where he’s able to make sideline-to-sideline stops, aggressively fill rushing lanes before the offense can block him, and even drop back into zone coverage pretty well. There are also times where Ethan still plays a step too slow, but especially in the playoffs, those instances are rare.

Against Cass Tech, Ethan needs to play great. I could easily see Ethan coming up with a critical late-game stop!

Ethan is back at Hudsonville, and he just played a massive role in defeating an excellent East Lansing squad.

His first highlight shows an excellent sideline stop to win the game. Even better, Hudsonville would probably lose this game without Ethan’s athleticism on the field. I actually don’t think it was a bad read by the QB. His tight end looked wide open, but Ethan snuffed that out real quickly. Ethan’s second highlight shows him making an excellent stop as he cuts off the screen pass. The rest of his tape showcases great effort on a lot of outside plays. Great win for Hudsonville, and a great performance by Ethan!

Ethan Carter Ethan Carter 6'0" | 220 lbs | LB Hudsonville | 2025 State MI is a super productive linebacker out of Parker that has just transferred into the state from Michigan. On his previous team, Carter was a super reliable inside linebacker that was able to make tons of impacts against the run and pass. It’s very impressive watching Carter play against the run, he has some elite anticipation and reaction time that allows him to quickly fill in gaps to stop the ball carrier. Carter also does a great job fighting off blocks and making the extra effort to get tackles, he plays with a ton of effort and pursuit regardless of where he starts the play. When you combine those skills with his tackling technique, it makes Carter a force at every level of the field. Earlier this summer, Carter picked up an offer from West Georgia- with how well he has played we could see him pick up some more this year. Be sure to watch out for Carter this fall, he has a ton of talent and Parker’s defense has the potential to be one of the best units in the state!
