Dylan showed off some gritty knocking hands in the reps I caught out with him in the morning session of the North Dakota flagship camp. Not just was I impressed with his hand speed, I also liked the length this young man showed off in stride with his arms, as he certainly plays bigger than the 6’2 275 pound frame he shows off. At nose guard, Dylan shows off solid vision deep in the trenches and always showed off dialed in eyes from what I gauged up in Grand Forks. He also checked my boxes with his physicality, as he had a handful of reps that finished nicely with his pad-level. Dylan is certainly a NG prospect that has some growing upside as well, as I believe in the coming years, he can develop strong instincts with his get off with those aggressive hands he has at his disposable. I still am certainly surprised he just has one NSIC offer going into late summer, as a prospect that is still way under the radar in Minnesota’s 2024 class. Twitter

He’s the purest nosetackle on this list, and one of the state’s premier products at the position. Hailing out of Wayzata,

plays to his strengths, quite literally. The 6-foot-2, 275 pounder plugs up the middle with dangerous efficiency, and while he may not always get the tackle, his unblocked linebackers can only go through untouched thanks to his hard work in the trenches. The presence of a stout nosetackle like Schultz seems to slow everything down between the tackles, and this makes it nearly impossible for any sort of power back to influence the game. All in all, while his impact may go unappreciated to a casual spectator in the student section, everyone on the field certainly knows

The Trojans’ defense was playing great in the first half. One of those players who stood out early was Schultz. He used good leverage and strength on the inside. His immediate pressure stuffed a run for a five yard loss. Later, he stuffed a run near the goal line.
