A prominent two-way starter who shows plenty of upside as both DB and WR, Sam Booh Sam Booh 6'0" | 155 lbs | DB/WR Wayzata | 2026 State MN has plenty of explosive potential as an offensive weapon that could translate well at the next level. Booh caught 18 passes for 453 yards and 4 touchdowns last season, averaging 25.2 yards per reception. With a 4.58 40 yard time, Booh has blistering speed, making him pretty dangerous in the open field, racking up plenty of yards after the catch with that quickness. Booh’s showcases great reach from his lengthy frame, with a wide catch radius, and despite his size, Booh showed quite a bit of physicality, being able to knock defenders over and catch through tight coverage. Doing just as well in covering receivers as he is in winning against coverage, Booh could very well make it in the collegiate level starting either position.

Booh is a physical receiver who is good in the open field. He gets off the line of scrimmage nicely and has a great catch radius. That physicalness translates into Booh being a willing blocker and makes him a good tackler as a defensive back. As a defensive back, he plays the ball well and makes good adjustments when the ball is in the air. His ability to adjust to the ball translates easily to offense, as he does not need a perfectly thrown ball to make a catch. He has one-handed catches on his resume and throws in which he has to get up in the air to pull down the catch.

Wayzata mostly struggled on offense, but the biggest offensive play of the game came because of the hands and legs of Booh. He ran a deep cross, caught the ball, cut up-field, and scored on a 78-yard touchdown catch and run.

Our final Top Newcomer from the newly updated PRzMN 2026 rankings, Wayzata Trojans 6′, 150 lb. WR Sam Booh Sam Booh 6'0" | 155 lbs | DB/WR Wayzata | 2026 State MN is a firecracker and exciting splash play wideout with a ton of juice and playmaking ability against non-varsity opponents of the Trojans. With the speed to take the top off the defense, the skills to start/stop and break off his routes well, and the means to work back to the ball well and high-point and play the rock impressively in the air, Booh can also really make his money with the ball in-hand, as he’s twitchy and balanced after the catch, can throw a mean truck stick into a would-be tackler for good measure, and finish receptions through contact and even highlight reel collisions. It’s a playmaking, big-play skillset that makes for a fun watch and one of the most exciting 2026 tapes I watched while grinding film for the update. If he can transfer his game to the varsity level, he’ll be one of the most electric WRs in the state soon. The future of Wayzata’s offense looks bright.
