We start out our multi part series with the morning session that included defensive linemen, offensive linemen and tight ends in which I thought from a talent perspective was one of the deepest talent pools I have seen this summer amongst FCS camps I have attended. We focus on both of the lines in Part I of our list of standouts that caught my eyes in Grand Forks.
Wyatt certainly showed why he’s one of Minnesota’s best hybrids defensively in the 2024 class as he showed off plenty of athletic movement from what I engaged with watching him up in Grand Forks in the morning session. He was one of the quickest defensive ends out the DL group I watched live at UND with the fluidity of his hands showing off excellent range and dexterity with his sizable reach in drills. He also showed some high electricity with burst within his footwork as this kid showed off he could easily climb downhill into the backfield with the fighting hands he showed off as Wyatt certainly showed off his versatility at the UND flagship camp. With his tape, Wyatt is a certified hit-stick as he constantly uses his high football IQ to knock back the socks of the ball carrier on every rep you watch. It’s no wonder why Wyatt’s stock has grown substantially in the last handful of days since camp at the FCS level as I would expect more of the Missouri Valley to get involved with this 6’4 225 pound prospect out of Buffalo. Talk about a OL prospect that blew up the UND morning session of camp, as that is exactly what Rogers OL Wyatt Bell Wyatt Bell 6’4″ | 295 lbs | OL Rogers | 2024 State MN did on Saturday. He showed off an excellent athletic bend for 6’4 295 pounds and showed off a well-developed pad-level in every rep I caught starting with Indy drills and then heading into 1v1s. Wyatt certainly showed off the Fighting Hawks staff that he is a hog molly you can depend on to always block to the whistle, as that is what firmly he did all day at camp and won several 1v1 reps with his outstanding leverage with plenty of drive in his lower body. After receiving an offer from North Dakota, Wyatt wasted no time with getting his first FCS offer by committing to the Fighting Hawks quickly. Wyatt is a prospect that from watching his 2022 season, was certainly a Division I fit in my eyes, and he certainly showed all of that on Saturday in Grand Forks as a blue-collar work horse that will certainly better the Fighting Hawks offensive line in the coming years. I would certainly give Wyatt my offensive line MVP from his showing at UND. Twitter

Dylan showed off some gritty knocking hands in the reps I caught out with him in the morning session of the North Dakota flagship camp. Not just was I impressed with his hand speed, I also liked the length this young man showed off in stride with his arms, as he certainly plays bigger than the 6’2 275 pound frame he shows off. At nose guard, Dylan shows off solid vision deep in the trenches and always showed off dialed in eyes from what I gauged up in Grand Forks. He also checked my boxes with his physicality, as he had a handful of reps that finished nicely with his pad-level. Dylan is certainly a NG prospect that has some growing upside as well, as I believe in the coming years, he can develop strong instincts with his get off with those aggressive hands he has at his disposable. I still am certainly surprised he just has one NSIC offer going into late summer, as a prospect that is still way under the radar in Minnesota’s 2024 class. Twitter

Logan Allemand
Logan was a new first look prospect I have found at a camp since we launched our Prep Redzone Canada site. In Indy drills, Logan impressed me with the power he showed off within his punch and he also demonstrated balanced skillsets with his attention to detail in my eyes, getting better and better rep after rep from taking coaching from the UND staff. He also showed off an athletic base in his 6’1 250 pound frame that could bend fluidity in the trenches. Logan by far was one of the most impressive Canadian prospects I watched on the day at the UND flagship camp and one on tape has some intriguing skillsets on his resume. His first clip shows off that power I saw up in Grand Forks on Saturday, as he shows powerful technique on getting thru a double team and then releases his swiping hands to get into the backfield as one of more well-framed prospects on the field with some athletic movement. Logan has significant upside when it comes to his next-level skillset match, as he will need to get more elusive with the speed of his hands thru contact and will need to grow as a five tech into a four tech at the next-level. Logan is also a defensive line prospect with a high GPA. Twitter
You can almost bet on it at this point, that anywhere I travel throughout the Midwest there will almost always be a Nebraska prospect that pops out consistently on my summer camp schedule as that prospect at the North Dakota Flagship Camp was Norfolk Catholic’s Nolan Fennessy Nolan Fennessy 6’4″ | 240 lbs | DL Norfolk Catholic | 2024 State NE . Noah impressed me most with his positioning and the ability to hold his base with a developed lower body, without being knocked off balance with heavy contact from what I engaged with during Indy Drills. Noah was also intriguing with the work with his hand position as he consistently won 1v1 battles in Grand Forks with the smooth hands he showed off with elevated pad-level from my eyes. The biggest upside for Noah as far as his growing skillsets would be with his footwork, as I believe his athletic mobility trends a higher ceiling getting to the ball carrier quicker with more agility brewing his way with his footwork. I could see more NSIC schools giving Noah some recruiting attention in the coming months for sure especially heading into early September. Twitter

Teddy showed off some captivating agility with his quick trigger off the snap from the handful of reps I got to watch out of him at the North Dakota Flagship Camp. His football IQ meshed well with his instincts and vision in the 1v1 reps I watched, as Teddy showed off plenty of range as well as a defensive end that can tread to the outside edges when you need him to get to the ball carrier as his range was one of the biggest ones I caught in my live evaluation up in Grand Forks. At 6’4 225 pounds, Teddy shows mostly offensive reps on his junior tape, however after watching him at UND he certainly trends towards an EDGE rusher at the Division I level. Teddy was certainly a DE prospect that rose his stock way up from his performance in Grand Forks in my eyes. Twitter
The most sizable offensive line prospect I got to watch at the North Dakota Flagship Camp was Mandan’s 6’8355 pounder John Bugbee John Bugbee 6’8″ | 340 lbs | OL Mandan | 2024 State ND . I remember watching John from our first Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase up in Fargo however it had been a minute since I saw John is a live reps setting, but I got that up in Grand Forks. What did John show off at UND? He certainly has improved substantially since my last viewing with his hand technique, as he certainly as an elevated football IQ from my eyes. He also has gotten more athletic with his bend at the line playing approximately 15-20 pounds lighter from when I saw him in Fargo. He has some development with his physicality and pad-levels, however I know for a fact that the potential John has at the next-level might be the highest of all the OL prospects I watched in attendance as there are several coaches across FCS and the Division II level that would love to groom John with all the size he offers as he still awaits his first offer into late summer camps. I would for sure take a chance on John if I was a college football recruiter. He also has a 6’10 reach might I add! Twitter
