is one of the Union standouts we’re fired up to see the most this season. He has the potential to be a couple things for the Redhawks this season. First off, Carrasco could very well be the leading receiver on the offense and that’s not much of a stretch. Carrasco is also electric in the return game in special teams and will also play a little defense. But it’s what the Union senior can do on offense and in the return game that makes him absolutely electric. We saw glimpses of that kind of potential and production last season. As we look ahead to this season, we think Carrasco elevates his game to being Union’s top all around weapon.

a few times this offseason but in case you missed it, we think this is going to be a massive year for him. Carrasco got plenty of touches last season but this year, he could be the top playmaker in the passing game and he has so much speed and versatility that he’ll be able to produce in other spots. He’s not the biggest prospect on this breakdown but he’s probably the fastest. He had an outstanding track season and when you watch the film, it doesn’t take very long to realize he’s routinely one of the fastest players on the football field. This could be a monster season for Carrasco, specifically on offense and special teams.

recently picked up his first D1 offer and that should get the ball rolling for him this spring and summer. Carrasco played for 918 Elite 18U this weekend and was once again one of their top playmakers on the offensive side of the ball. We’ve written about Carrasco a handful of times since the end of last season and the theme is constant. He’s next. There is a lot of potential for the Union 2025 standout to be their top option in the passing game and arguably their top playmaker in general when you combine offense and special teams. We got a chance to watch Carrasco in person on Saturday and Sunday and he really stood out early on in bracket play on Sunday. He does an excellent job of getting open and after the catch, he’s incredibly elusive.

will be one of the top athletes playing for 918 Elite this weekend. Carrasco was one of the top players in last year’s Oklahoma tournament and he’s looking to repeat that performance this weekend. Carrasco is one of the more dynamic players in Oklahoma’s 2025 class. He has speed that not many defenses can contend with. He showcased that multiple times last fall with the Redhawks. We expect him to have a major impact on the two days in BA.

enjoyed a solid 2023 season but we can’t help but start looking ahead to what could be for him in 2024. With Union losing a lot of their talent at the receiver position, Carrasco could be the number one target this fall and he could see his stock absolutely explode as a prospect. And that stock is already on the rise. We put on his junior tape and the first thing you notice is not just the fact that the first five plays are touchdowns, but he’s not touched on any of them. A pair of kick returns and a few touchdown receptions and Carrasco wasn’t touched when the ball was in his hands. Needless to say, the Union junior is straight up slippery with the ball in his hands. You can’t tackle what you can’t touch. Going into the film review, we knew that Carrasco was incredibly versatile and that showed on film. He lined up and made plays at running back, slot receiver and even outside receiver at times. Not to mention his impact in special teams as a kick returner. As a receiver, Carrasco has hands and a knack for turning a small play into a big play. If he lives in the weight room this offseason and adds muscle to go with that speed, he’s going to be incredibly dangerous with the ball in his hands. And as we mentioned, this could be a huge 2024 season for the Union speedster.Access all of Prep Redzone

started producing like we’ve seen this fall. You could see Carrasco knocking on the door of becoming one of the more versatile athletes in the class and he’s backed up the hype this season. Carrasco has been one of Union’s top wide receivers but they use him in several other ways as well on the offensive side of the ball. He’s also helped out the run game at times, including a breakaway run on an end around against Mustang. Carrasco has also shown the ability to be a speed demon in the open field in the return game. He has two kickoff returns for scores, including the opening kickoff in the top five showdown with Edmond Santa Fe last week, when points were hard to come by early.

as he looks to become one of Union’s top playmakers on offense this fall. Carrasco spent the majority of his sophomore season at Jenks before moving to Union towards the end of the 2022 regular season. So his sophomore film is somewhat limited to JV action but he did get some run on the varsity level. We’ve seen quite a bit of Carrasco during the last two offseasons while he played 7v7, and based on his film from last year, there is a potential for him being that breakout offensive weapon. Carrasco is incredibly shifty in the open field and does a really good job of avoiding defenders and creating space between him and his opponent. He’s very versatile and can see playing time at running back, wide receiver and on special teams as a returner. We’re looking forward to seeing what he can do this fall because there’s a lot of potential for him to be a weapon on offense.

on the short list of 2025 prospects that seem destined for a breakout season this fall. We’ve watched him up close a few times over the last month and each time he makes some plays that still come as a surprise to us. Carrasco is a playmaker that has some serious athleticism to his game that should not be overlooked. Speed, hands and that playmaking ability is a big reason why we think he could step into a much bigger role within the Union offense this fall. Throughout the weekend, Carrasco did a really good job of making catch after catch and more times than not, he was in the end zone putting points on the board. He also took care of the ball and did a good job of shielding himself from defenders. That doesn’t mean much in a 7v7 setting but when the pads come on, that will be important.

Last week, when we were breaking down some of the top 2026 prospects, there were a few that were highly rated but weren’t yet proven on the varsity level. You can make that argument for Union’s promising prospect

. He started his high school career at Jenks and even got some playing time with the Trojans last fall. But towards the end of the regular season, Carrasco moved to Union and quickly picked up the offensive system. Carrasco is a very versatile offensive weapon that we’ve seen quite a bit during the spring of last year. There is a lot of talent there but it’s just finding the best and most valuable way to get the most out of him that will be important. Whether it’s at running back or wide receiver, we expect Carrasco to have a very big junior season this fall.
