Birmingham can officially call himself a state champion. He displays his talent in 7on7 at receiver, but the Sandites used him in the backfield this past season. Birmingham is another true athlete that can make plays at any skill position and he proved that in the state championship game in 2025. He has good length, speed and a knack for finding yards. He can be shifty in the run game or dominant as a receiver. Sand Springs loses some key pieces from last year’s state championship team, so Birmingham will have to help carry the weight a bit more in 2026.

has been on our radar for a while now but it’s always been at the wide receiver position. Whether it was at Sand Springs in the fall or in various 7v7 tournaments, Birmingham is a wide receiver that we’ve always liked. But this season, he’s shown that there is quite a bit of versatility to his game that we haven’t seen before. Birmingham has been playing for the Sandites at the running back position and has been producing this fall. As we write this, Birmingham and the Sandites are preparing for a district title rivalry clash with Sapulpa. It’s an opportunity for Birmingham and the Sandite offense to flex their muscles on a bigger stage.

was another breakout player in the Sandite offense after moving from Owasso. Birmingham didn’t take long to establish himself as one of the top targets in the Sandite offense. In his first four games, Birmingham would catch a touchdown in each game. He was averaging nearly 100 yards per game in that first month of the season. Birmingham wasn’t able to produce in the playoffs and the Sandites certainly missed that in November. All in all, he would finish with nearly 50 catches for over 600 yards and five touchdowns. Birmingham got off to a hot start in 2024 but he’s looking to finish hot as well in 2025.

is the second Sandite on this breakdown so needless to say, we have a high opinion of Sand Springs and specifically their offense moving forward. Birmingham is also a player that we wrote about recently after watching him go to work in our Oklahoma 7v7 tournament. Birmingham really impressed us then and you throw on the tape and you see a player that can absolutely take a game over. Now, because he played on the same offense with Forbes, a lot of the attention went to Forbes because of his production but that could certainly play into Birmingham’s favor as we start preparing for the 2025 football season. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Forbes getting much more attention defensively in 2025 and that should open things up for Birmingham. And even if that’s not how it plays out, we think both of their production could be more even this fall.

and he was a player that we were very impressed with when we got to see him this offseason. It’s hard to put a lot of weight on performances in 7v7 tournaments and in a camp setting. But Birmingham always stood out to us so it’s no surprise that he’s emerged as a legitimate playmaker in the Sandite offense this fall. After moving from Owasso to Sand Springs this offseason, Birmingham hit the ground running and is definitely a player to watch moving forward. And just like Forbes, we’re looking forward to seeing him in person with the pads on and seeing what kind of impact he has on Friday.
