2026 Morgantown OL Blake Buffington Blake Buffington 6'2" | 255 lbs | OL/DL Morgantown | 2026 State WV will make a big jump in our upcoming rankings update later this summer, and getting to see him in person for the first time only cemented that notion further. We knew Buffington was one of the more athletic offensive linemen in the state when we tabbed him on our Perfect 2026 OL Build for his mobility, and seeing him live proved as much. Even with some hiccups in form during 40 testing, Buffington still ran a 5.34, a time that he’s capable of shaving multiple tenths off of. He maintained that momentum during 1-on-1s, flashing quick feet and good bend, with the physical strength to comfortably handle the defensive linemen in attendance.

Buffington has very good short-area quickness with the speed to easily act as a lead blocker for his running back without his teammate having to wait for him to get upfield. He’s an agile athlete who’s comfortable blocking down to the second level of the defense and playing in space. It was also impressive to see Buffington hurdle defenders who fell in his pulling path without missing a stride and continuing his momentum effortlessly.

A new name on our radar who impressed on his junior highlight tape was 2026 Morgantown OL Blake Buffington Blake Buffington 6'2" | 255 lbs | OL/DL Morgantown | 2026 State WV . Buffington was excellent as a pulling guard in Morgantown’s Wing-T system showing a great combination of physicality and athleticism to get to the second level. He’s a nimble athlete for his size with good feet and short area quickness for that scheme. If he can continue adding size while maintaining the athleticism he’s shown, Buffington has serious potential as a prospect and is an under-the-radar name to check out.
