His arrival helps fill those voids while adding another explosive weapon for the offense. Rudy lit up the testing session with four top 20 marks, including a ridiculous 9’10” broad jump (#2 overall), along with a 4.90 40-yard dash, 4.63 shuttle drill, and a 7.31 L-drill. Carrillo is a strong, physical receiver who can use his sturdier frame to power through attempts at jamming him at the line. Rudy projects well in the slot, where he will be able to outmuscle smaller DBs while also being faster than most LBs lined up against him. He attacks the ball well and does a good job making “hands” catches and following it through the catch process. Rudy ran some sharp routes, really displaying his ability to change direction and explode through his breaks. Definitely someone to get on campus this summer for a deeper look!

Fairmont Senior’s Rudy Carrillo brings one of the better overall athletic profiles in attendance to the WV Exposure Series and has the versatility to impact the event in multiple ways. The 2027 standout is currently signed up at WR, but already holds the #2 DB ranking in the 2027 class, which says a lot about his ability on the other side of the ball as well. Carrillo should put together strong testing numbers once the combine portion begins because the explosiveness and movement skills are obvious. It’ll be especially interesting to see if he works both ways during 1-on-1s since his skill set translates naturally at receiver and defensive back. With the type of athlete he is, Carrillo feels like a strong bet to leave Sunday among the top overall performers.

Carrillo is a plus athlete with impressive raw athleticism for him to continue utilizing as he develops for two more years.

He was a Top Performer at both positions at our Stock Up Showcase earlier this year and looked good working out at running back at the Fairmont State Elite Camp. Carrillo was one of the fastest athletes in attendance, with a 4.65 40 time and an athletic build to match. His athletic upside makes him one of the early top prospects in the 2027 class and a must know name for colleges.

We’re still waiting on a full season tape from 2027 Fairmont Senior DB Rudy Carillo, but the standout sophomore was one of the top athletes at our Stock Up Showcase last month and debuts as a Top 20 player and #4 defensive back in the class. Carillo showed out in both sessions at our camp and is the type of athlete who can plug and play at a few different spots. Defensive back ultimately feels like his most natural and gifted position as an all-around versatile athlete. Carillo has shown natural instincts for the position in his first year of varsity for the Polar Bears and will be a multi-year starter during his career.

The rising junior will no doubt be an impact player this fall, really liked how he catches the ball out of the backfield. Carrillo mixed in with the defensive backs too and that may naturally be his best position at the next level. The way he carried the football and made plays during the 1vs1s I think he has a bright future at running back too.

Good testing numbers and one of the better 40s times on the day, Carrillo made a good decision signing up at the last minute. He turned a lot of heads with his outing and is sure to be heard from in 2025.
