This was my third time seeing Morgantown’s Maddox Twigg Maddox Twigg 6'1" | 213 lbs | QB/ATH Morgantown | 2028 State WV , and it’s the third time he’s earned MVP/Top Performers honors after a great performance. Maddox tore it up during the testing session with a 4.49 shuttle drill, 7.04 L-drill, and a 9’4″ broad jump, all three of which ranked top 10 among attendees. The most impressive part of Maddox’s game is his arm strength. He can absolutely rifle the ball into tight windows and deliver the ball on a rope right to his receiver’s hands. Twigg flashed clean footwork on his drops, showing he can execute 3-step, 5-step, rollouts, etc., during drills. Very good placement on his passes— lots of throws that were able to lead the receiver open or hit them in stride to keep them rolling. Maddox also showed that he can layer the ball over defenders when throwing over the middle of the field. Great overall athlete who has all the physical tools and arm to make some major waves on the recruiting trail.

Maddox Twigg enters the WV Exposure Series as the #1 overall player in the 2028 class, and expectations will be high this Sunday. After helping lead Morgantown to a state championship as a sophomore, Twigg already carries multiple D1 offers and continues building momentum heading into his junior season. The quarterback talent is well known at this point, but this camp could also provide a chance to see more of the athletic versatility that makes him such an intriguing overall prospect. If he chooses to compete during DB 1-on-1s, it would only add another layer to his profile. Twigg has the type of all-around ability to dominate multiple portions of the event and is an early favorite to leave with MVP honors.
