The 6’3 330 rising junior picked up his first D1 offer from Sacramento State (CA) earlier in the week and has been a mainstay at the top of our 2027 OL ranking since they debuted. He’ll make another jump in our upcoming summer rankings update and is progressing well, having flashed a ton of potential as a sophomore. Mott’s size and physicality proved to be too much for the opposing defensive linemen in attendance, winning all but one of his 1-on-1 reps. He’s a massive young athlete with a ton of potential and upside who is realizing that very early on in his high school career. Mott has played both tackle spots showing versatility and is mauling defenders at a high level for a young lineman. He certainly doesn’t look like a sophomore out there from a physical standpoint and his play also matches that description. Mott’s power and strength at this stage of his career are rare in WV and he’s shown enough athleticism that leads you to believe he’s capable of some big things in the future as a prospect.

Mott has great size this early on at 6’4 315 and a clear scholarship-level OL prospect with D1 potential depending on his development over the next few years. Mott moves well for his size and appears to have the athleticism to play offensive tackle in high school and beyond. We also loved the effort he played with in the limited highlights available on his Hudl as a defensive tackle too. There aren’t many offensive highlights available right now but from seeing him in person and the way he’s built, OT is his definite future.

Mott has a high ceiling as a prospect and is an early candidate for one of the top big men in the 2027 class that you need to closely follow the next three seasons.
