is a corner who appears to have cracked the varsity lineup at Paramus Catholic early in his career, anchoring the defensive secondary for years to come. Lopez does an outstanding job using his hands to interrupt his matchup’s pattern and timing with his quarterback. Although he does find himself inside and losing his force leverage at times, he does not allow much separation when running in-phase and tackles well, particularly to his leverage. I suppose his big frame also gives receivers fits along the perimeter. Lopez also plays receiver, where he looks as though he wins many 5050 jump balls. Lastly, Lopez has good ball instincts and skills.

is on his way to Paramus Catholic as one of the top receiving target in the NJ’s 2028 class. Anthony is a lengthy, explosive target that is going to be trouble to cover in the future. As a runner, Anthony is one of those ball carriers that can stun the defender and leave them looking silly in the open field. Anthony can get the defender to commit for the tackle, only to deliver a lethal juke that leaves the defender empty handed. He is a natural runner, which was on full display last season when he lined up as his team’s QB and often tucked it and ran for big gains.
Not only is Anthony a future star on offense, but he is already seeing the field for Paramus Catholic on the defensive side of the ball. With excellent size and quickness to be a shut down corner, Anthony is set up to be a well recognized name by the end of the season.

Talk to anybody who has ever played football and I’m willing to bet they’ve played through a season that didn’t go exactly to plan. The Brick City Lions 13U D1 team out of New Jersey faced a bunch of adversity this season, between games being canceled and players leaving the team for various reasons, it didn’t go as envisioned. Yet, Athlete (ATH) Anthony Lopez Jr. tied up his boots and went to work, making the move from wide receiver to quarterback, for the team. Lopez Jr. is certainLY more of a wide receiver than he is a quarterback, but Brick City did a good job of allowing his 6-foot, 155-pound body to get out in space to create. They rolled him out and allowed the lefty to make easier throws, which he did on repeat. The selflessness and added wrinkle of a passing threat, is something that I’m sure private high schools across New Jersey took note of. In Florida Lopez Jr. got the opportunity to take a snap back at wide receiving and fittingly enough, made the catch. Brick City finished in third place in the AYF 13U D1 National Tournament.

– Just one of the very dangerous skill position players on a Brick City Lions team that won the AYF National Championship a year ago
– Has grown considerably since I saw him in December 2022 and is now listed at 5-foot-11 and 155 pounds. Complete with long arms and limbs, which creates a nice window for his quarterback’s
– There are a number of ATH’s on Brick City that line up at wide receiver (like
