Chukwuma Odoh Chukwuma Odoh 5'11" | 195 lbs | RB Paramus Catholic | 2027 State NJ proved once again why he’s one of the most dynamic running backs in New Jersey. He delivered two touchdowns — one on the ground and one through the air — and gave Paramus Catholic the explosive spark it needed throughout the championship game. Every time he touched the ball, he brought energy and playmaking ability.

Odoh made the jump from St. Thomas Aquinas to Paramus Catholic this year, and he quickly became a central piece of their offense. That value showed up again on the biggest stage. As a runner, he used his size, burst, and vision to slice through DePaul’s defense and finish drives with authority. He consistently found creases, accelerated through contact, and forced DePaul to account for him on every snap.

However, his receiving touchdown may have been even more impressive. Odoh adjusted to an off-target throw, showed excellent body control, secured the catch, and then fought through defenders to reach the end zone. His awareness, balance, and toughness on that play highlighted the complete skill set that separates him from most backs in the state.

Ultimately, Odoh’s championship performance reinforced why he is widely considered a top-five running back in New Jersey. He showed versatility, grit, and big-play ability when his team needed it most — and his impact kept Paramus Catholic competitive from start to finish.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. After the band broke up at St. Thomas Aquinas, Chukwuma Odoh Chukwuma Odoh 5'11" | 195 lbs | RB Paramus Catholic | 2027 State NJ and his multiple division 1 offers are on the move to Paramus Catholic. In my opinion Odoh is one of this classes true two-way prospects at running back and linebacker. A fast, physical, and explosive ball carrier, he slashed 146/1418/16 on the ground, while making 29 tackles (18 solo), with 1 scoop & score, and 1 sack. With Pitt, ECU, BC, Auburn, Duke, Temple, and Syracuse already in the bag, Odoh now moves on to the Super Football Conference’s United division to test his mettle against the toughest division in the state.

At 5’11”, 195 pounds, the St. Thomas Aquinas running back has the frame and explosiveness to punish defenses. He hits the hole with force, runs with balance, and has the burst to break away. His vision is solid, but his ability to power through contact and accelerate makes him unique.

He holds offers from Temple and Syracuse, but that list should grow. Expect college coaches to take notice as he gains more exposure through media coverage and the 7-on-7 circuit. He’s confident, vocal, and, most importantly, backs it up on the field. A breakout season is coming.

Chukwuma Odoh Chukwuma Odoh 5'11" | 195 lbs | RB Paramus Catholic | 2027 State NJ is not your average sophomore running back. Bigger than your traditional high school back Chukwuma is a bulldozer of a back with built in elusiveness. Rushing for 432 yards and 6 touchdowns through the first few games of the season, Chukwuma is a reliable runner in the backfield that St. Thomas Aquinas can rely on between the tackles and beyond. I think we will see a lot of cases where Chukwuma will take the ball up the gut and emerge out of the pile with a full sprint towards the end zone. Chukwuma also has enough speed to beat the defender to the edge and turn upfield, setting himself up for runs down the sideline or quick cutbacks across the field. This is a back that will be talked about for years to come.

Coach Campanile apparently made a tour of the Big Central Conference during his most recent visit. Prior to offering Smith, Campanile made the trip to Edison to visit St. Thomas Aquinas to meet with Chukwuma Odoh Chukwuma Odoh 5'11" | 195 lbs | RB Paramus Catholic | 2027 State NJ . During this meeting things went so well that Odoh was extended an offer to Syracuse. This is Odoh’s first Division Offer. Looking forward to seeing him serve in a bigger role this fall!

Chukwuma Odoh, a 5’9″, 185-pound running back and linebacker, is a versatile and explosive athlete with a compact build. As a running back, he demonstrates great contact balance and physicality, excelling at forcing missed tackles and gaining yards after contact. On the defensive side, Odoh displays solid athleticism, moving sideline to sideline and playing downhill effectively. While he needs to improve his consistency in tackling space, his potential is evident. Having started on varsity for St. Thomas Aquinas and recently earning his first offer from Syracuse, Odoh development and contributions this upcoming season will be worth watching closely.

An athlete in the purest sense, Chukwuma Odoh Chukwuma Odoh 5'11" | 195 lbs | RB Paramus Catholic | 2027 State NJ is one of the most experienced linebackers in the state as he racked up 22 tackles at the varsity level in 2023. Part of one of the most talented young rosters in the state, Chukwuma is a linebacker that is ready to take form and dominate as a defender. With his long reach, Chukwuma can pull in runners from afar and tear them to the ground. He is an aggressive defender, attacking the runner whenever they get near. Chukwuma is a name we will all be more familiar with by the end of 2024.

One player on the Trojan’s roster who stands in line for a huge uptick in production is Chukwuma Odoh Chukwuma Odoh 5'11" | 195 lbs | RB Paramus Catholic | 2027 State NJ , their fourth leading rusher from a year ago. Early indications seem that STA will look to him to replace 155 carries, 1291 yards, and 17 touchdowns that are set to graduate. Odoh received must of his burn at linebacker last year, but did serve as a spell back – specifically their jet-mo sweep guy. On the season he totaled 22 tackles (6 solos) with 1 tackle for loss. Offensively he accounted for 178 yards on 22 carries and 1 score.

As a linebacker Odah is uber-athletic. He also possesses great length that he uses to defeat blockers and get in on the play. His length makes him appear somewhat gangly; however, this allows him to cover a lot of group. He is unafraid of contact on the field, often looking to muscle-up big linemen in space. As a rusher he does an excellent job of securing the ball, almost exclusively carrying it high-and-tight. Odah will be best served to improve his vision – both as a ball carrier and how he reads his keys.

Another fast twitch linebacker added to the list, Chukwuma Odoh Chukwuma Odoh 5'11" | 195 lbs | RB Paramus Catholic | 2027 State NJ has the potential to become a well known linebacker in the state. Playing for St. Thomas Aquinas, Chukwuma moves laterally with speed and can change direction and dart upfield to fill the hole and meet the runner at the line. This is a defender that will turn some heads come next fall.

St. Thomas Aquinas (NJ) finished with a 9-2 record a year ago and will get set to welcome Chukwuma Odoh Chukwuma Odoh 5'11" | 195 lbs | RB Paramus Catholic | 2027 State NJ as a freshman in the fall. Odoh attended the PRZ Next Camp in January as a linebacker opened a lot of eyes. He was back last weekend, this time as a running back, and again got the job done. He’s just starting to scratch the surface of how good he’s going to be on both sides of the ball. At 5-foot-10 and 185 pounds with muscle, length and 4.8 speed in the forty–my money is on a game-changing linebacker. He’s a 2027 PRZ Next National Watchlist athlete.
