About Nysir
Expert Analysis
Brendan Mankarious | Prep Redzone Scout
In my opinion, Nysir Golden was the best defensive back, and arguably overall prospect, in attendance. Golden showcased tight, sudden movement with excellent ability to change directions. Additionally, Golden demonstrated outstanding recovery speed and flashed his length as well.

set the standard for defensive back play throughout the camp, turning in a performance that few players were able to match. From the testing portion to live competition, his athletic profile was impossible to ignore. He generated speed effortlessly and showed the type of closing burst that erased separation before quarterbacks could capitalize on it.
In coverage, Nysir played with exceptional body control and fluidity, allowing him to transition smoothly and mirror receivers through every phase of the route. His awareness was equally impressive, as he routinely recognized route concepts early and positioned himself to take away passing options before the ball was ever released. Nysir’s on field performance solidified his position as the DB MVP at NJ Exposure Series.

was the most impressive defensive player at the entire camp and showcased why he is such a high level lockdown cornerback. His acceleration out of the start during the 40-yard dash was outstanding, and when paired with his top end speed, it was clear he could run stride for stride with anyone at the event. Golden also displayed impressive elasticity and explosiveness in his movements, allowing him to react instantly and change direction without losing speed. What made him especially difficult to challenge was his ability to anticipate wide receiver movements before breaks developed, constantly staying in phase and shutting down throwing windows. Quarterbacks found very little success testing him throughout Saturday’s action.

will be showing off his secondary skills at the PRZ Exposure Series. Nysir finished 2025 with big performances from both sides of the ball. However, he really shined as a DB, accumulating 58 total tackles and picking the ball off 5 times, with one returned for a touchdown. With 3 D1 offers thus far, Nysir is primed to get a few more before the season begins.
