truly fits the definition of an athlete. A player that can really line up wherever he likes and find success, Xavier seems set up to thrive as a receiver and safety on defense. A bigger sized athlete for his age, Xavier has shown speed and elusive on the field and at previous camps. He is one of those players that can fly to the ball as a defender but can also torch a DB as he takes off downfield. He will be one of Delbarton’s biggest weapons in the near future.

– First saw him play in the spring after his sixth-grade year and I’ve never wavered on him being one of the best in New Jersey.
– Tall, long kid. Super athletic and can play anywhere on the field. Specifically a safety, outside linebacker and wide receiver. With the latter being my pick as to where he belongs.

Without question, one of the best 2028 prospects in the state of New Jersey. At 5-foot-10 and 160 pounds with excellent length and 4.87 hand-timed forty speed, Xavier Rodriguez should have his choice of private schools when that time comes. Got my first up close glimpse of Rodriguez last spring on the campus of Rutgers University at the Gamechangers Combine and liked what I saw. Fast forward five months and I saw him play live again, this time in a real game, and I’m all the way on board with the Rodriguez train. Kind of a do-it-all type of guy for the Brick City Lions (one of the top youth programs in the state) he’s extremely versatile. Has really great size and length. Can play Running Back or Wide Receiver on offense and Defensive Back or Outside Linebacker on defense. Right now, as a seventh-grader, he’s nearly identical to how current Wisconsin Running Back Chez Mellusi looked on this level. Rodriguez has a monster Offensive Line in front of him and along side
