delivered one of Championship Friday’s most impressive efforts. He finished 9 of 12 for 140 yards and a touchdown, and added six carries while keeping Paramus Catholic’s offense alive, drive after drive.
Green hadn’t played much this year, but he came in ready and immediately gave PC the spark it needed. His accuracy, calm presence, and willingness to push the ball downfield created four explosive plays that kept Paramus Catholic in striking distance until the final whistle.
Off the bench, Green brought poise and energy. He stayed prepared, stayed locked in, and played one of his best games when his team needed him most.

went down late in the first half, Green stepped in and immediately gave Paramus Catholic a lift. Instead of shrinking from the moment, he steadied the offense and kept Paramus Catholic competitive in the Non-Public B title game.
Right away, Green leaned into the trait that has defined his game: his deep-ball accuracy. He won Prep Red Zone’s superlative for Best Deep Ball Thrower, and he showcased that talent in his final high school appearance. He consistently pushed the ball downfield, attacking DePaul’s secondary and sparking scoring drives. His willingness to stretch the field ultimately led to two Paramus Catholic touchdowns.
Moreover, Green showed he could extend plays. He bought time in the pocket, escaped pressure when needed, and delivered the ball to Paramus Catholic’s top weapons — including Nakai Martin and

, a 6’3”, 180-pound quarterback from Paramus Catholic, split time under center this season but showed promise. He handled the situation well and displayed a fearless approach. Marco isn’t afraid to push the ball downfield or take risks by attempting tight window throws. His aggressiveness stood out throughout the season.
One of Marco’s best traits is his ability to throw with touch. He’s effective when throwing touch passes in the middle of the field and occasionally outside the numbers. However, he must improve his accuracy outside the numbers and develop consistency across all field levels. Marco moves well but must refine his footwork and accuracy to become more reliable as a passer.
The following steps are mental for Marco. He needs to limit lapses in decision-making and avoid putting the ball in harm’s way. Improving his pocket movement and evading pressure will also help elevate his game. Additionally, Marco must balance his touch passes by driving the ball with more force when necessary. Better layering throws and adding variety to his passing style will make him a more complete quarterback.
If Marco can address these areas, he has the potential to grow into the leader Paramus Catholic needs. He could take his game to the next level with more consistency and focus.

returning as a top target, Marco will need to adjust his game. The focus now will be on becoming a more rhythm-oriented quarterback. Instead of relying solely on the deep ball, Marco needs to demonstrate that he can methodically move the ball downfield, taking advantage of short and intermediate routes.
We’ve seen what Marco can do when he airs it out, but this season is about proving he can be a complete passer. By showing patience and precision in the shorter passing game, Marco has the opportunity to solidify his status as one of New Jersey’s top quarterbacks. This is his chance to showcase a more balanced approach, ensuring that his name remains among the state’s elite

will be a very talked about QB by the end of the 2024 season. In my opinion, Paramus Catholic has one of the best QBs in the state as their signal caller. Marco has nearly perfected his craft, demonstrating exceptional throwing mechanics through his drop back, arm motion, and follow through. More importantly, Marco’s ability to slide around the pocket and feel the rush without taking his eyes off downfield has made him extremely lethal to defense’s pass rush and coverage.
Standing with poise in the pocket, Marco can decipher the defensive coverage and pinpoint the best place to throw the ball. I am very impressed with the precision and timing Marco displayed in 2023. He showed he can throw on rhythm with the route and fit the ball into a tight window. Marco’s ball placement keeps the throw away from the defender, increasing the success rate of Paramus Catholic’s offense.

Marco Green is set to earn the superlative for Most Likely to Break Out, entering his first varsity year with promising potential. Drawing parallels to Derek Zammett’s trajectory, Marco exhibits a traditional passer style, showcasing composure in the pocket, accurate and timely deliveries, a refined release, and the ability to drive the football down the field with touch. While not displaying extensive mobility, Marco’s proficiency in spinning the ball hints at a standout passing game. Anticipated to make a significant impact this year, a varsity starting opportunity could catapult him into the spotlight, making waves and garnering attention for his skills.

is New Jersey’s next great quarterback. The first play of Marco’s highlights below says it all. The kids got a rocket for an arm. Mostly a pocket passer, he has incredible deep ball accuracy. You don’t see a lot of freshman that can sling the rock like he can. I’m looking forward to seeing him play more at the JV and Varsity level in 2023. The amazing thing is Marco has made a name for himself already. He has already gained attention and made visits to programs like Michigan and Penn State. I see a lot more college visits in Marco’s future. Be on the lookout for what he does these next few years at Paramus Catholic.
