, a defensive back at Corbin High School. What impresses me the most about Meadors is his excellent footwork and ability to maneuver the field under pressure. I also like how Meadors can juke out the opposition and quickly turn around to haul in the short pass. Meadors also proved his reliable catching deep in the backfield.

The second of three Cabell Midland Knights to see their stock rise significantly in our Spring rankings update is DB

. This was a case where we simply didn’t dive far enough into his 12-minute-long junior highlight tape to see the bulk of his defensive film. Had we done so, Meadors would’ve ranked much higher than he did previously in the winter update and climbed 86 spots higher to #13 overall in the spring update. Meadors’ high increase is due to receiving an offer from App State in February with other FBS programs in the mix for future offers. He also flips from WR to DB in the rankings which is likely where his ceiling is highest. I got to see him in person at a 7 on 7 event earlier this year where he looked the part from a physical and athletic standpoint. Meadors makes his way into the Top 15 of what appears to be a deep 2025 class in the making and could eventually enter the Top 10 depending on future potential offers.

Another Cabell Midland athlete who will see a big bump in his ranking for the summer update will be 2025 DB

. We aren’t too big to admit that we missed on his rankings as we strive to be the first to identify D1 prospects before anyone else. We simply didn’t watch enough of his 12-minute junior highlight tape before getting to his DB film or he’d have ranked much higher in our last update. We’ll also be switching him from WR to DB in the rankings so pay no attention to his current rankings as he’ll likely rank inside the Top 20 in the summer update. The Cabell Midland Knights appear that they’ll be reloading in 2024 with a handful of D1 prospects ready to step in for the graduating D1 athletes that they showcased in 2023.

making a big jump in our 2025 Rankings after the 2024 season but is already considered a Top 100 player in the class. Meadors was an Honorable Mention All-State selection by the WVSWA as a junior and is only scratching the surface of his potential. He was a bit overshadowed this season by some big-time players on the Cabell Midland roster including some D1 signees but should see more of a spotlight in 2024. Meadors may move to DB or ATH in our rankings eventually and is a quality player in all three phases of the game. You can tell when watching his junior film that if he has a bigger role in the offense next season he may have a breakout year for the Knights. Meadors has all the athleticism to be a very good prospect and with more production his stock should skyrocket.

made the move to Ona from Huntington this season and has looked very good for the Knights. Meadors is a plus athlete that’s in that 4.4-4.5 40 range which is very apparent on film. He’s been a playmaker for Cabell Midland in all three phases of the game this season and has been a very good receiver and punt returner for the Knights along with defensive back. The 5’11 170 junior plays corner and has proved to be very good in man coverage. With his high-level speed, Meadors can run with any receiver and can also slide inside to cover a slot receiver. I could see him playing some nickel and dime at the next level or even staying as a pure corner. The upside is very high with the junior Meadors and it wouldn’t surprise me to see him on offense in college either.
