He lined up mainly at defensive tackle and played a key role in the Broncos’ 5A State Championship run. His stats can be deceiving as he played limited snaps throughout the season due to blowout wins by the Broncos but he produced when on the field. Harkless finished his senior season with 25 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, and one fumble recovery, which he returned for a touchdown. He is a very dominant run stopper, showing the strength to hold down his gap and shed blocks quickly to get to the ball carrier. Harkless also has the explosiveness to drive his blocker into the backfield to cause disruption. He also showed the ability to play defensive end at times and use his speed to rush the passer off the edge. Jamarrion is committed to Purdue where I see him finding a role quickly on their defensive line.

Harkless is a dominant run stopper with the ability to stack the opposing offensive lineman and get rid of them quickly once he finds the ball. He also has the quickness to shoot his inside gap before his opponent can block him. Harkless is able to use his high motor to get to the ball carrier and finishes with a nice amount of physicality once he gets there. Jamarrion also has shown the ability to rush off the edge against the pass with a solid amount of success. Harkless is committed to Purdue where I see him becoming a key piece of their defensive line.

His stats are misleading as the Broncos’ starters didn’t play a lot in the regular season due to blowout wins but Harkless still produced when in the game, finishing the regular season with 15 tackles, five tackles for loss, and one sack. Harkless is a dominant run stuffer at defensive tackle. He explodes out of his stance and runs straight through opposing offensive linemen to get into the backfield. Once he gets to the ball carrier, he runs his feet through contact to secure the tackle and not allow for any extra yards to be gained. Harkless has also shown the ability to slide outside at defensive end and use his speed to win off the edge as a pass rusher. Jamarrion is committed to Auburn where I see him developing into their next great interior defensive lineman.

We had him as our third ranked defensive lineman in the senior class and he has continued to impress. The stats for Harkless are deceiving as Frederick Douglass has blown out the majority of their opponents with the starters being pulled very early in most games. Harkless has been a key piece to a Broncos defense that has only allowed 5.2 points per game this season. He is a physical defensive tackle that is a true run stuffer as he has shown the ability to explode out of his stance and gain penetration into the backfield very frequently. Harkless also plays with a very high motor and has shown the speed to win off the edge as a pass rusher when asked to do so. Jamarrion is committed to Auburn and has the potential to be one of the next great defensive linemen that their program has become used to producing over the years.

Harkless is a big, physical defensive tackle that plays with a very high motor. He explodes out of his stance and is very hard to handle with his bull rush. While he dominates on the interior, he has also shown the ability to win off the edge as a pass rusher and has the speed to run all over the field to make plays. Jamarrion has a long list of Power 5 offers and I fully expect him to be a difference maker wherever he decides to play at the next level.
