Week Five: Cory's Calls

There are over 200 games of High School Football across the state this weekend, in this article I breakdown one game from each Section and give my predictions for each game.   Section 1: Tuckahoe Vs Dobbs Ferry   In this Section One Matchup between undefeated teams, we have Tuckahoe and Dobbs Ferry. The Tigers sit at 4-0, with wins against Chester-Seward, Nanuet, Briarcliff, and defending Champions Valhalla. Dobbs Ferry sits at 3-0 with wins over Pleasantville, Pelham, and John Jay. The Eagles have one of the top offenses in the section making this a must watch game on Saturday.   Cory's Call: Tuckahoe 34-33   Section 2: CBA-Albany Vs Shenendehowa   CBA-Albany enters this game with a two game winning streak. After starting 0-2 against Monsignor Farrell, and CBA-Syracuse. The wins for the Brothers come against Saratoga Springs, and Schenectady. The Warriors sit at 4-0 on the season with wins over Cicero-North Syracuse, Corning-Painted Post, Proctor, and Fayetteville-Manlius. Chenango Forks, and Horseheads were there two loses for the Spartans. Cory's Call: Vestal 31-21   Section 5: Pittsford Vs Rush Henrietta   Pittsford sits at 2-2 on the season through four games this season. Key wins have come against Victor, and Webster Schroeder. Rush Henrietta sits undefeated in 2025, with wins against Elmira/Southside, McQuaid Jesuit, and Aquinas Institute, and University Prep. Cory's Call: Rush Henrietta 28-24   Section 6: Bennett Vs Jamestown   Bennett enters this matchup sitting at 3-1. The one loss comes at the hands of Washington (OH). The three wins were against Clarence, HCTEVTCH, and Niagara Falls. Playmakers for the Tigers come from Guard [player_tooltip player_id='1345118' first='Amos' last='Lutete'], OL [player_tooltip player_id='505866' first='Jaizen' last='Warren'], and ATH [player_tooltip player_id='518166' first='Jack' last='Eskridge']. Jamestown sits at 2-2 on the season. Williamsville North, and Lancaster are the two wins for the Red and Green. Orchard Park, and SJCI are the two loses for Jamestown. Cory's Call: Bennett 21-13   Section 9: Cornwall Central Vs Ballston Spa   Cornwall Central sits at a 3-1 record. The one loss came at the hands of Woodbury-Monroe 7-3. The three wins come against Burnt Hills Ballston Lake, Our Lady Of Lourdes, and Newburgh Free Academy. After an opening week loss against Ward Melville 35-7, the Lions won two straight Sachem East, and Brentwood. The three wins came against Sachem North in OT, Sachem East, and Brentwood. Cory's Call: William Floyd 38-28   Section 12 PSAL: Eagle Academy II Vs Erasmus Hall   Eagle Academy enters the game at 4-1 through five games this season. The lone loss came in an opening matchup against Imhotep Charter. The four wins came against Fordham Prep, Fort Hamilton, Brooklyn Technical, and Kennedy. Key playmakers for the Eagles include Martin Koppleman, [player_tooltip player_id='1814216' first='Juvens' last='Lindor'], and [player_tooltip player_id='939411' first='Imperial' last='Jenkins']. Erasmus Hall is coming off a heartbreaking loss against Tottenville. The two wins for the Dutchmen come against Kennedy, and New Dorp. Cory's Call: Erasmus Hall 21-20 OT   Catholic League: Monsignor Farrell Vs Fordham Prep   Monsignor Farrell sits at 4-1 on the season through five games. With an out of state loss against Delbarton, and four wins against South Shore, CBA-Albany, St.Peter's, and St. Anthony's, the Lions look to continue rolling through the Catholic League. Fordham Prep sits at 1-3 in 2025, with a lone win against Mt. St. Michael Academy. Cory's Call: Monsignor Farrell 35-17   Monsignor Martin League: St. Francis Vs St. Joseph Collegiate   St. Francis has played a grueling schedule mainly filled with teams from out of state. The Red Raiders sit at 3-1, with a loss to Catholic Memorial. The three wins are against Jackson, Cathedral Prep, and another unnamed opponent. They have a deadly offense, with playmakers like Trey Buttles, [player_tooltip player_id='1202404' first='Tyrone' last='Clark Jr'], and Dominic Cook Jr, being guys to watch. SJCI, has also played a grueling schedule. The Marauders sit at 2-2, with key wins against Jamestown. The two loses have come at the hands of Cardinal Hayes, and Canisius.
