. The talented ATH from SJCI, played most of the season as a DB for the Marauders, and was an exceptional athlete for the Monsignor Martin Squad. Kickinski recently visited Cornell for Junior Day, and sat down with us to offer his best advice throughout the recruiting process.
Success isn’t always about greatness. It’s about consistency. Consistent hard work leads to success.

We saw Owen in Albany against Cardinal Hayes, where his presence was felt all over the field. Against Jamestown he dominated, accumulating two touchdowns, 223 yards on just ten carries, averaging over 23 yards a carry in a good win for the Marauders.

This game could be considered Kicinski breakout game but everybody in the WNY community knows how good of a football player he is. This just happens to be his biggest game to date. Owen started the game off with a 37 yard TD on St. Joe’s opening drive then had a long 50+ yard run in the second half. All in all, he had over 200 yards on the ground and was a pivotal part of the Marauders defense that held Jamestown to just 6 points.

Kicinski played a pivotal role in the St. Joe’s offense as their lead back with blazing speed. He also contributed as a Cornerback with several pass breakups to keep St. Joe’s in this game.

Standing at 5’9″ 185-Pounds, Kicinski displays a solid build for an ATH. He spent a majority of his snaps at DB, but his usage is unknown given his talents.
On tape, he displays good ball tracking and fluid hips. He has a good COD and displays the ability to read a defense and react fast to cuts by opposing WR’s. He can lineup on offense at WR given his talent, but I believe he is better as a DB specifically at Corner.
Kicinski is extremely versatile and provides a range of traits for his SJCI roster. He should make impacts in every game this season, making him a name to watch.

Quite possibly the fastest player on the St. Joe’s roster, Kicinski is entering his junior year with breakout expectations. As a sophomore, he spent the majority of his playing time as a CB and he did well shutting down opposing WRs. But, he is also an exceptional weapon on offense whether it is at RB or WR. How he will be used is yet to be seen but this is a player to watch.

is a pass-catching WR/RB that can be utilized at the receiver position at a high rate because of his pass-catching ability. He did have a high quality of reps out wide, more than at RB on film. Moreover, the hand-eye coordination did show over the top on DB’s. From time to time, he will make toe-tapping grabs on the sideline when the ball is thrown in certain spots. Even so, he does possess an ability to make defenders miss in space.

Kicinski spent his sophomore season as St. Joe’s top CB but when you see him play, you will know why he should be considered a top WR prospect. He has blazing speed with tremendous ball skills. He’s an excellent route runner with phenomenal concentration. Owen does have experience in the backfield as well if he is needed at RB. Currently ranked #28 ATH in NYS, I expect his stock to rise this season.
