Harden is going into his third varsity season and has showed his big play ability. He has spent the previous two years as St. Joe’s OLB in their 3-4 scheme. But with the Marauders losing three key LBs to graduation, Damone’s role may change this season. Either way, Harden will look to be the defensive leader for St. Joe’s in 2026.

Harden is a a big play OLB in St. Joe’s 3-4 scheme. He is a vicious tackler in open space and takes excellent pursuit angles. He showed shades of excellence in his first two varsity season but he is expected to take a major step forward as a senior.

Harden is a solid outside pass rusher that was all over the field in this game. Play of the game was a key sack he made on 3rd and 3 on the opening drive when Nose Tackle Payton Keighron Payton Keighron 6'1" | 290 lbs | OL/DL St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute | 2027 State NY flushed the QB out and forced him right to Damone. That play put the Red & Green in 4th and long territory. Last season was his breakout year but now as a junior more is expected of him.

Harden spent his sophomore season as a reserve OLB/EDGE rusher and he showed signs of brilliance, including a Week 4 game vs rival Canisius where he racked up 10 tackles (3 for loss) and an INT. The rest of the season was hit or miss but the stage is set for Damone to have a monster junior season.

St. Joe’s would end up losing the game 24-17 but Harden’s breakout performance of 10 tackles (3 for loss) and an INT kept them in the game and he proved he can play at a high level even as a sophomore.
