Wagstaff is a shifty player that can be utilized all over, including at WR on quick screens, jet motions, short digs, and deep crossers. Wagstaff can also operate out of the backfield, where he logged 21 carries. With the ball in his hands, Wagstaff’s nimble footwork and quick acceleration allow him to weave through tackle attempts and create big gains. Comparably at the OLB spot, he is quick in reaction and shows impressive aggressiveness when bringing down ball carriers.

Wagstaff is a true gadget guy on offense. He can line up outside, in the slot, or in the backfield and make plays down the field or in the screen/short passing game. Also a defensive back, Wagstaff rarely comes off the field. He is a solid athlete and shows some quickness in the open field. He plays with a good motor and is a willing tackler coming downhill.

Wagstaff was a big-time contributor to Rush-Henrietta’s impressive run to the Section V AA Final. Wagstaff can line up all over the offense with a lot of film from RB & WR and in an SS position on defense. Wagstaff is a solid athlete; he does a good job of making guys miss in open spaces and is a very smooth-looking athlete as he changes direction.

His best skill set is his versatility. I think he still needs to add some strength to his frame and even continue to develop that athleticism, but there are guys who just have really good football instincts, and Wagstaff is one of those guys.
