ALA-Queen Creek (0-1) vs Red Mountain (1-0)

The American Leadership Academy - Queen Creek Patriots head up north into Mesa to take on Red Mountain in a high powered 6A matchup. ALA - Queen Creek will be looking to bounce back from a blowout home loss at the hands of the Hamilton Huskies, 63-20. The Mountain Lions are coming off a commanding win against Desert Pines, a Nevada high school team, 44-21. This matchup will feature two styles of offense that want to run the ball downhill, and it will be interesting to see which one will prevail in the end. RB [player_tooltip player_id='739456' first='Bobby' last='Nesbit'] is the headline back for ALA - Queen Creek coming off a 100 rushing game in hopes of helping his team bounce back against a very good Red Mountain defense, featuring players like LB [player_tooltip player_id='739444' first='Jameson' last='Wade'] and DB [player_tooltip player_id='606317' first='Tyreke' last='Cornett']. On the Red Mountain offense, this rushing attack will have a combination of ball carriers such as RB Abnel Lazzerini and RB Nevan Fitzgerald both combining for over 120 rushing yards and 5.4 yards per carry. This ALA -Queen Creek defense was already challenged from their previous matchup struggling to stop the run game giving up over 200 rushing yards, so lead tackler DB Kaiden Arrieta will need to step up and help disrupt this rushing attack.

Mountain View (0-1) vs Mesa (1-0)

We got a Mesa Rivalry on our hands as Mesa Jackrabbits will make a quick trip up to Mountain View to face the Toros. The Jackrabbits begin their 2025 campaign with a nice win over Shadow Ridge at home, 34-14. The Toros are coming off a shutout loss on the road to a very good Liberty squad, 37-0. Both teams feature a crisp passing combination with Mesa's being QB Derek Carr to WR [player_tooltip player_id='1697600' first='Kameron' last='Williams'] as they found the endzone twice threw the air. While Moutain View's will be QB [player_tooltip player_id='1369417' first='Brady' last='Goodman'] to WR Talen Arnett. The key difference maker to this game will be the Jackrabbits rushing attack as they will lean on this for a balanced offense led by RB Rio Arnett who had 141 rushing yards in his previous outing. The Moutain View defense will look to stop this advance led by DB [player_tooltip player_id='1682389' first='Cannon' last='Raban'] and DT Jackson Walker.

Mountain Pointe (1-0) vs Desert Vista (1-0)

The Tukee Bowl Rivalry has a different feel this year as Mountain Pointe and Desert Vista meet under the Friday night lights earlier than usual. With Mountain Pointe now in 5A and Desert Vista staying in 6A, the rivalry had to shift on the schedule. Both teams enter 1-0: Desert Vista impressed on the road with a 44-19 win over Cesar Chavez, while Mountain Pointe rolled Maricopa 34-8. RB [player_tooltip player_id='975177' first='Kyler' last='Drunasky'] powered the Thunder with 100+ rushing yards in his senior year debut, but he'll face a tough Pride front led by DL Teylor Caldwell, DL Marleigh Fely, and LB [player_tooltip player_id='739442' first='Jaylyn' last='Colter']. Desert Vista passing attack will look to test Mountain Pointe's young secondary early with QB [player_tooltip player_id='1543755' first='Seth' last='Hanson'] and WR Kael Moore connection looking to staying hot after finding the endzone twice in their last outing.
