Expert Analysis
Jordan Reyes | Prep Redzone Scout
Nesbit moved up 85 spots to #80 overall after a strong senior season rushing for nearly 1,300 yards and 7 touchdowns on his way to being named 6A Southeast Region Player of the Year and 6A First Team All Conference. At 5’10” 190 lbs. he’s an instinctual runner that has a variety of moves to avoid defenders and work to space. His movement is sudden with quick cut ability and fluid change of direction. Does a good job maintaining speed through his cuts to separate. Displays good balance and strength to run through contact and extend gains. Vision and patience allows him to locate and create running lanes by reading his blocks and attacking gaps with speed. One of the best 2026 prospects still uncommitted holding four offers.

Nesbit brings a well-rounded and reliable skill set to the field, highlighted by strong vision and balance as a ball carrier. He consistently identifies lanes quickly and navigates traffic with poise, staying on his feet through contact and maintaining forward momentum. His strength and leg drive allow him to break first contact at the line of scrimmage and turn what should be short gains into productive runs at the second level. Quick-footed and light on his toes, he can make subtle cuts without losing speed, giving him the ability to evade defenders in tight spaces. Overall, he’s a tough, efficient runner with the tools to be a steady chain-mover and a dependable piece in any backfield. Voted the 6A Southeast Region Player of the Year and holds D1 offers from San Diego and UT-Martin.

Nesbitt showed he’s more than just a shifty back in this one, piling up 197 total yards and a touchdown while putting constant stress on Red Mountain’s defense. Already known for his track speed and agility, he’s clearly added strength to his game, breaking through arm tackles and bouncing off defenders in ways he didn’t a year ago. That combination of burst and power made him a nightmare to contain, whether it was on one‑cut runs, screens, or angle routes out of the backfield. Every time he touched the ball he looked like a threat to take it the distance, flipping field position and forcing lighter boxes just by being out there. It’s the kind of performance that makes you want to design an offense around him and highlights just how much work he’s put in since last season.

Nesbit is a big play threat with the ability to be a difference maker from anywhere on the field, but made most of his noise at RB. Excellent top end speed as he’s so dangerous once he gets into space, showcasing excellent change of direction with a burst out of every cut to set himself up for a house call. Very good vision as he does a great job seeing and reacting to those narrow lanes or cutback lanes and explodes through them with authority.

Nesbit is a stand out ball carrier for ALA-Queen Creek. 5’10” 190 lbs. he’s quick twitch and flashes the ability to separate from defenders in open space using his top end speed. He’s able to combine different moves together without losing momentum making defenders miss in the backfield or at the second level with sudden lateral cuts and fluid change of direction. Quick acceleration in the short area to break away and sustains his second gear to finish long gains in the endzone. Excellent vision and balance to read the flow of defense while locating and attacking running lanes. Finished the 2024 season with nearly 750 scrimmage yards and five touchdowns on 118 touches. Receiving attention from several D1 programs and has been a top performer at several offseason camps/showcases.

Nesbit looked bigger in person than I expected and showed some wiggle during the open field drill with the linebackers. He has some burst and doesn’t waste steps when dodging defenders.

is a real burner on the football field. He’s got great speed that allows him to attack the smallest of seams and make defenses pay. He used his speed and nimbleness to become a true asset in the passing game as well. He runs crisp routes and has no problem creating separation even against defensive backs. He’s a player I’m excited to watch as a feature back in his senior season.

has really quick feet that are absolutely electrifying. He can stop and switch directions on a dime, and then get back up to full speed within just a couple steps. Despite having a smaller frame, he’s not very easy to bring down. He’s very slippery and shows great balance when he’s sliding through tackle attempts with ease, somehow managing to stay on his feet. Nesbit is an excellent pass-catcher out of the backfield as well. He has really sharp cuts and is just too fast for most linebackers to keep up with. His hands are both soft and secure, making him a great option when his quarterback gets in trouble. He’s certainly going to have to add some weight to his frame in order to stop some of the larger defensive lineman when he’s asked to pass protect. Nesbit also plays in the defensive backfield for ALA Queen Creek, and his quick feet are constantly on full display. Flying down from the safety position, Nesbit has good instincts and quickly attacks the ball-carrier. He’s a great tackler in open space, which is crucial when you’re often the last line of defense. In coverage he does an excelent job keeping receivers in front of him; able to play physical without drawing flags. If he could stay in his backpedal a tick longer, it could really help him against the super-speedy wideouts Arizona has. Either way, Nesbit has the make-up speed to close gaps before quarterbacks can even see them. This type of quickness and agility will translate extremely well to the next level.
