15 — QB B. DeWitt: 26/38, 286 yds, 3 TD, 1 INTDeWitt turned in a calm, polished performance that showed why he’s the leader of ALA Queen Creek’s offense, throwing for 286 yards and three scores while looking in complete command from start to finish. An Idaho commit played like a quarterback who knows exactly where the ball needs to go, manipulating underneath zones and then striking vertically off play‑action. His mechanics are effortless — all the power comes from his base, which lets him deliver a gorgeous deep ball without having to load up. Even under pressure he kept his cool, finding his hot reads and making quick decisions to keep the offense moving. What really stands out is how steady he looks in the pocket, never rushed, always composed, and consistently giving his team a chance to trade punches with Red Mountain in a back‑and‑forth shootout.

DeWitt put together some very impressive tape last season and enters his senior year with something to prove. He possesses an impressive presence and poise in the pocket while going through progression and is extremely fluid from his feet to torso to his delivery- frequently looking and seeming in rhythm. He shows a lightning quick release with the ability to hit all 3 levels of throws and the knowledge of when to throw a 1, 2 or 3 ball. He recently committed to Idaho, and I truly think the Vandals landed an absolute steal with this kid.

I got a chance to watch DeWitt’s full tape and I am extremely impressed, and this kid needs to see those offers pour in. Very good pocket presence and demeanor scanning the field going through progression, and throws with great anticipation and timing. He does a great job climbing up the pocket and delivers with the strong, quick release. He’s shown the ability to hit all 3 levels of throws with velocity, touch, or finesse (1,2, and 3 ball), and put together countless Division 1 type of throws. Good all around athlete as well as he can escape sacks and pick up yards on his feet. He just received his first offer from Idaho, and I would be shocked if that list doesn’t grow sometime here soon.

Standing tall at 6’2″ and 200 lbs, Britton DeWitt Britton DeWitt 6'2" | 195 lbs | QB ALA-Queen Creek | 2026 State AZ doesn’t just look the part of a sturdy quarterback — he plays it. Balance might be overlooked in QBs, but not here. He absorbs contact, stays on his feet, and pops up ready for the next snap if he does get knocked down. Grit is in his DNA, and that’s exactly what you need in a leader. When the going gets tough, you want a QB who refuses to stay down.

When Britton DeWitt Britton DeWitt 6'2" | 195 lbs | QB ALA-Queen Creek | 2026 State AZ became eligible midseason after transferring from Casteel, ALA-Queen Creek got the spark it needed. DeWitt wasted no time making an impact once he was given a chance, stepping in during the second half against Highland to lead the Patriots to a 26-7 win. His 42-yard touchdown pass to Kingston McCabe Kingston McCabe 6'3" | 200 lbs | WR ALA-Queen Creek | 2025 State AZ in that game was just the start of what he brought to the table. DeWitt’s ability to step in cold and immediately take charge said a lot about his poise and football IQ. DeWitt saved some of his best work for the postseason. In a high-stakes playoff game against powerhouse Basha, he threw for five touchdowns, including three to McCabe, one of which was a 71-yard bomb. Despite the team coming up just short in a 40-35 loss, DeWitt’s performance kept them in the fight until the very end. His ability to make plays under pressure and connect on big throws made him a key reason the Patriots were able to compete with some of the best teams in the state. With more time to grow in the system, he’s going to be a player you won’t want to miss next season.
