Jordan Reyes | Prep Redzone Scout
Compact, powerful back at 5’11”, 205 pounds with a strong combination of strength and speed. A complete runner who can grind between the tackles, turn the corner on the perimeter, or catch passes out of the backfield. Shows the ability to make defenders miss at the first level and in tight spaces, using quick lateral agility and change of direction. Possesses sustained second gear to turn the corner into the open field and displays excellent contact balance. Climbed 68 spots to #117 overall in the latest rankings. Voted Region Offensive Player of the Year and 6A All-Conference Honorable Mention. Still uncommitted he holds six offers to date.

was the constant pulse of the offense, touching the ball 159 times and piling up yards in every way you’d want from a modern feature back. His raw totals jump out at you — just under a thousand on the ground with another 350 through the air — but it’s how he got them that really stands out on film. He’s a patient runner who understands how to press the line, let blocks develop, and then hit the gas when he sees daylight, whether that’s on inside zone, stretch, or simple gap schemes. There are games where he simply takes over drives in the red zone and then turning around to hurt defenses on screens and swing passes when they start loading the box. He’s got enough size to run through arm tackles and enough juice and wiggle to make DBs miss in the open field, and DV leaned on that versatility all year — early downs, passing downs, short yardage, you name it. For a team that didn’t end up in the bracket, Drunasky played like a playoff back, the kind of guy opponents talked about all week and still couldn’t fully bottle up on Friday.

had a great season for the limited action that he had. In the five games he played, he had 101 carries for 605 rushing yards and 8 rushing TDs. His vision and ability to find the hole is excellent, as he can locate space in traffic and always find the cutback lane. He can be very nimble for his size, squeezing through tight areas with great precision and then bursting into another gear. He runs with robustness and ruggedness, punishing defenders by lowering his pads in the open field. Drunasky will look to compile similar numbers with an entire senior season ahead of him.

came out firing to start his junior season. Surpassing 200 yards on the ground and scoring five times in the first week alone, anyone who wasn’t aware of what Drunasky could do certainly is now. He has some incredible balance moving through the trenches; cutting on a dime and bouncing off big hits, his ability to keep stay upright is nothing short of impressive. At 5’11” 190 lbs, he has a strong base and is more powerful than you’d expect, allowing him to move piles and power through arm tackles. The fact that Drunasky is second in rushing yards while his offense also has the 6A leader in passing yards and two of the top-five leaders in receiving yards just shows you how truly effective he is with the ball in his hands.

will definitely be a versatile weapon used out of the backfield for this Desert Vista offense. A downhill runner that is elusive and quick out of the backfield, demonstrating excellent burst and speed once he gets to the second level. Drunasky scored 6 TDs all on the ground last season as a sophomore and will be looking to add to that total this season. Not only can he run the football, but he displays excellent route running and hands to pair with his already great athleticism. Not only can we expect huge numbers on the ground, but watch out for Drunasky in the passing game as well.

had the fastest shuttle time of any running back, and by a pretty wide margin. That became even more evident once he started running routes against some really good linebackers lining up to defend him. Drunasky was moving more like a slot receiver than a running back, running incredibly refined routes and using his burst and agility to make defenders miss whenever the opportunity presented itself. Coming off a sophomore season where he scored 6 touchdowns (all on the ground) and averaged over 8 yards per reception for a 2-8 Desert Vista team, Drunasky has shown that he can contribute at the varsity level. With his versatility and some younger talent stepping into some big roles, Desert Vista has an opportunity for a quick turnaround here in 2024.

The second year player is a patient and downhill runner, that excels in-between the tackles, waits for his blocks to develop and sticks his toe in the ground quickly while picking up tough yards inside. He is a natural ball carrier that is tough to bring down in traffic due to balance, leg drive and body control at contact. He also flashes quick feet through the hole and good initial acceleration at the first level and will continue to add third level speed as he progresses. Drunasky checks in onto our WL in our most recent rankings update, and could enter into our rankings sooner rather than later.
