is easily one of the best linebackers in the state. Improving from his sophomore year by nearly doubling his numbers in his junior season with 122 total tackles, 83 solo tackles, 3 TFLs, 1 sack, 1 INT, and 5 pass deflections. He has great size at the linebacker position at a 6’2 195lb frame. Colter’s instincts are top-tier, the way he can diagnose a play and fly downhill to meet the ballcarrier. He brings it when he lays his tackles, leading with his shoulders and drawing heavy impact into the ball carrier to stop his advance. He moves well in coverage and possesses above-average ball skills, which make him a versatile 3-down linebacker. Colter will be looking to make his senior season one for the history books for this Pride defense this season.

was a force on the defensive side of the ball for the Pride. Hovering around double digit tackles on the night, he was a wrecking crew preventing his opponent’s rushing attack from getting going. His ability to diagnose and work through traffic is unique, navigating the trenches and always being around the ball carrier. He is violent and powerful in his tackles, firing through the ball carrier and doing it with emphasis. Colter had himself a night on the defensive side of the ball and will continue making plays to add to his already fantastic junior season.

Colter’s recruiting got off to a fast start as a freshman at Chaparral pulling in four D1 offers including ASU and Oregon. Since then, he’s coming off a strong season at Mountain Pointe that saw him rack up 68 total tackles with nine TFL in six games after sitting out the early part of the season due to transfer rules. He’s a downhill and attacking defender that shows good range and sideline to sideline speed. Quick in the short area to redirect to the ball and flashes good burst to close. Like his anticipation and reactionary quickness to get an early break filling gaps and cutting off angles. Violent at the POA, he accelerates through contact and finishes ball carriers to the ground aggressively. At 6’2” 195 lbs. he’s got good length and room to fill out his frame as he develops but also could transition well to safety at the major D1 level. Added offers from Central Michigan, Oregon State, and Duke this month bringing his total to seven.
