Nevil finished 3rd in the state in rushing yards with 1,820 and 25 TDs as a junior. The standout playmaker out of SLAM Academy has picked up traction on the D-II radar recently, generating his first pair of offers from Sioux Falls and Minnesota Duluth. He showed speed out of the backfield and the ability to make defenders miss at the second/third levels in his junior film. He’s stayed busy this offseason showing developing upside in his receiving skillset at a recent UNLV camp as well as 7v7 events. Look for Nevil’s D-I interests- particularly from UNLV- to potentially turn into an offer in the coming months.
Highlights
Love led all sophomore RBs in rushing yards with just under 1,400 and 7 TDs on 163 carries for Fernley last season. He’s a north-south, between the OTs runner that can drive his legs through initial contact around the LOS and pick up chunks of yards-after-contact. He’s a difficult player to wrap in space and shows good forward lean with the ball in his hands. Love should continue to be one of the most productive rushers in 3A as the leading playmaker for Fernley’s run-heavy offense.
Rios was Nevada’s leading rusher through the early portion of the 2023 season after three 200-yard performances in Reed’s first five games, finishing with 1,390 yards and 17 TDs on the season. He’s a punishing back that generates power and force with his compact frame (5’9”/195) and downhill style of attack. He’s a highly physical player that doesn’t shy away from contact and possesses the athleticism to slip tackles in space. Rios is among the top RBs in northern Nevada heading into his junior season.
Highlights
Breslin picked up five D-I offers this offseason after rushing for over 1,200 yards and 10 TDs as a junior for Faith Lutheran. The BYU-commit is PRZ-NV’s top RB prospect in the state with his high-level combination of speed and athleticism out of the backfield. He shows great vision at the LOS, hits the hole with burst, and possesses the elusiveness to rip off explosive gains. Breslin’s one of the top offensive playmakers in the state heading into the 2024 season.
Highlights
Daniel comes into his junior season as the top returning rusher for SAL after rushing for over 1,200 yards and 16 TDs as a sophomore. He’s a versatile athlete that can make plays as a ball-carrier in SAL’s run-heavy scheme and showed promising receiving skills leading the team with 18 catches for over 450 yards and 4 TDs last season. Daniel should be on the D-III radar as a potential WR target with the frame (6’1”/180), raw skillset, and playmaking upside he’s shown to this point.
