In the month of June, we’re updating all of our prospect rankings on Prep Redzone Oklahoma. We’ve seen a ton of football this offseason from the 7v7 circuit to camps to most recently with team camps. We kick off our month of ranking updates with a look at the 2027 class as they head into their sophomore seasons this fall. Earlier this year, we unveiled the first batch of 2027 rankings with a top 25. This time around, we have a top 50. You can check out the updated rankings right here. In this post, we’re putting the spotlight on the top ten prospects from this ranking update. Keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Oklahoma every Monday this month for another ranking update!
There is no doubt that Jenks standout Semaj Stanford Semaj Stanford 5'10" | 165 lbs | ATH Jenks | 2027 State OK is the real deal and for the second straight ranking update, Stanford holds on to the top spot. Stanford is already one of the top prospects in the state and nothing will change that over the next three years. The only question we have is can he go wire to wire as the state’s top prospect? He definitely has a good chance. As a freshman, Stanford played a major role for the Trojans in all three phases of the game. This season, we expect him to be an absolute star on the defensive side of the ball and a productive weapon at wide receiver and then in the return game.
Washington standout Case Alexander Case Alexander 6'2" | 170 lbs | LB Washington | 2027 State OK was right there with Stanford in the running for our Freshman Of The Year award last season. Alexander was a 2027 prospect we were intrigued by coming into the 2023 season and he blew our expectations out of the water. He helped the Warriors on the defensive side of the ball as they made a run to another state championship. This season, don’t be surprised to see him come out and play some tight end on offense. We’ve seen Alexander play on both sides of the ball and he can do both. But after watching his physical growth and production last season, he looks like a terrific linebacker.

Out of the ten prospects on this breakdown, you can certainly make the argument that Owasso defensive back Bryson Brown Bryson Brown 5'11" | 175 lbs | DB Owasso | 2027 State OK is the most intriguing of the bunch. Brown has seen his recruitment absolutely explode this offseason with offers from top programs all over the country. We’ve seen Brown in person a few times and he’s expected to have a major role in the Owasso defense this season. When you compare Brown to some of the other top prospects in this class, there’s a lot of potential for him to flirt with the top spot. And we cannot wait to learn more about him as a player when he takes the field this season.

In the last decade, Bixby has been one of the best programs at producing guys on both sides of the line of scrimmage. Defensive lineman Kaeden Penny Kaeden Penny DL Bixby | 2027 State OK appears to be the next guy up and has the potential to be a dominating defensive tackle for the Spartans. We got a chance to watch him in person this spring and what’s intriguing is his play on the offensive side of the ball at left tackle. He has some really good moves for a guy that we thought was just a dominant defensive tackle. He’s quick and knows how to use his hands. This defensive line group is already pretty deep and Penny is a guy that can not only do that but play offense too.

Down in southeastern Oklahoma, Valliant has two brothers that will be forces for the next few seasons. One is a 2026 prospect that will be highly ranked next week but defensive lineman Kyng Golston Kyng Golston 6'2" | DL Valliant | 2027 State OK is the other one in the 2027 class. We watched Golston quite a bit this offseason on the 7v7 circuit but that doesn’t do much for evaluating a defensive lineman other than seeing how athletic he is compared to some guys that are much smaller than him. We finally got our eyes on Golston with the pads on in May and he was a force on the line of scrimmage. What we like about him is the advanced skillset where he can beat opponents in a variety of ways.

We told you that the defensive line group was deep in this class already. Booker T Washington standout Joseph Graves Joseph Graves 6'2" | 285 lbs | DL Booker T Washington | 2027 State OK is another one up front to keep an eye on moving forward. Graves was a name to know prior to his freshman season and it didn’t take long for him to be a major impact player for the Hornets. We benefitted from getting a chance to see Graves twice in a month from late April to late May. He came and dominated at our April camp and then was one of the top defensive linemen we watched at the Claremore team camp. Graves is an absolute monster up front and he has the potential to be a special prospect moving forward.

There’s no other way to describe it, Jenks is absolutely loaded on the defensive side of the ball with talent in the secondary. In addition to Stanford returning, they also added Kailib Dillard Kailib Dillard 6'1" | 170 lbs | DB Jenks | 2027 State OK into their secondary after he became a breakout star during his freshman season at Lincoln Christian. Dillard is a really good looking athlete and was able to perform at a very high level last season. Like several other prospects on this breakdown, he also enjoyed a very successful offseason and when we caught him in person with the Trojans at team camp, he performed really well. Whether he’s at safety or moving around, Dillard is a playmaker.

Stillwater wide receiver Deakon Jones Deakon Jones 6'1" | 170 lbs | WR Stillwater | 2027 State OK remains in the top spot at his position during this ranking update and his ceiling continues to get higher and higher. Last fall, Jones broke into a Stillwater wide receiver depth chart that was loaded with seniors. Jones still found a way to make an impact. And as we look at his potential for the 2024 season, with those seniors graduating, Jones will be able to take a massive leap in terms of his production every week. Jones has been special to watch this offseason we’ve said this a few times but simply put, he catches everything. We’re looking forward to seeing what level he reaches this fall.
Union quarterback Kason Delgado Kason Delgado 6'1" | 180 lbs | QB Edmond Santa Fe | 2027 State OK is the only quarterback in the top ten rankings this time around. Delgado came into his freshman season at Union with some hype but he was also backing up one of the state’s top 2025 quarterbacks. However, halfway through the regular season, Delgado was thrusted into the starting lineup after an injury and he did not shy away from the competition. He had a solid stretch as QB1 for the Redhawks and carried that momentum into this offseason with his performances on the 7v7 circuit and most recently with the camp circuit. Delgado is very clearly a name to know at the quarterback position.

Broken Arrow running back Octavian Roberson Octavian Roberson 6'0" | 165 lbs | RB Broken Arrow | 2027 State OK is once again in the top spot at his position in the state’s 2027 class. After enjoying a breakout freshman season, Roberson will be back for more this fall. When we look at what Roberson does well and what Broken Arrow brings back, we think that his production could absolutely explode. First off, Roberson proved last season that he is a talented running back against top competition. Throw in the fact that the Tigers have an experienced and talented offensive line coming back and Roberson could be primed for a major 2024 season. He was a star back at our camp in January.
