Week 4’s Team Helmet Sticker Awards

Let's get started with our week four honorees and look forward to what should be an exciting week five across the state of Iowa!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>WEST SIOUX:</strong> Class A West Sioux Falcons of head coach Ryan Schwiesow are off to a quick 4-0 start. The Falcons are averaging 50.7 points per game and are lighting up the scoreboard on a weekly basis. Junior QB [player_tooltip player_id='1588760' first='Liam' last='Sheehan'] has passed for 786 yards and 10 touchdowns and owns a 72.5% completion rate. Senior RB [player_tooltip player_id='1925483' first='Braylon' last='Lopez'] has rushed 52-610 yards and eight touchdowns. Lopez also has 10 receptions out of the backfield for 191 yards and four touchdowns. Sheehan has also tacked on 159 yards rushing and four scores. The main receiving threat for the Falcons is junior [player_tooltip player_id='1654803' first='Nolan' last='Demke'] with 12 receptions for 335 yards and three touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball the Falcons have allowed only 36 points through the first four games. Sophomore Kasen Lopez is the team tackle leader with 19.5 stops. Junior Dracin Coons checks in with 18.5 tackles and 7 TFL. Junior [player_tooltip player_id='2048870' first='Kendrin' last='Van Beek'] has been productive with 15.0 tackles and 4.5 TFL. The Falcons have the right DNA on both sides of the football for a deep playoff run. <strong>This week 9/25 @ Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn 2-2.</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>LAWTON-BRONSON:</strong> Class 1A Lawton-Bronson Eagles have quietly won three games in a row to move to 3-1. After a season opening loss to #2 Woodbury Central the Eagles have settled in on offense where they have scored 131 points over the last three games and are now averaging 34.2 points per game on the season. Senior QB [player_tooltip player_id='2158649' first='Noah' last='Drew'] has passed for 855 yards and nine touchdowns. Junior RB Jaxson Otto has paced the running game with 393 yards and three scores. QB Drew has tacked on 112 rush yards and three scores. The go to receiver for the Eagles is senior WR Kolson McNear with 22 receptions for 354 yards and three touchdowns. The defense is led by senior LB Breighton Carlson who has a team leading 25.5 tackles and 2.5 TFL. Senior LB Myles March has racked up 23.0 tackles and 3.5 TFL. <strong>This week 9/25 vs Ridge View 2-2.</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>CLGLR:</strong> Class 2A CLGLR Lions of head coach Curtis Eben have used their week two victory over West Lyon 14-13 as a springboard to the month of September and are currently 4-0 with momentum. The defense has been very good allowing just 10.0 points per game and the offense has been reliable with 22.7 points per game. The Lions seniors are playing a huge role in the success on defense. Senior LB Tynan Schipper leads the team with 26.0 tackles and 3.0 TFL. Senior Safety [player_tooltip player_id='2087282' first='Brady' last='Kirch'] 15.5 tackles; Senior DE Jephte Raymond has 15.5 tackles and 5.0 TFL and Senior LB Wyatt Minter has added 13.5 stops. The Lions offense is triggered by senior QB [player_tooltip player_id='1581283' first='Jayden' last='Daale'] who has passed for 420 yards and is completing 69% of his passes. Senior RB Michelet Sadam has been solid with 331 rush yards and seven touchdowns. Daale has added 252 yards on the ground and two scores. The special teams FG team behind senior kicker [player_tooltip player_id='2146837' first='Logan' last='Koob'] has been dependable going 3/4 with a long of 41 yards and could be the difference down the stretch in a tight game.<strong> This week 9/25 vs Cherokee 1-3.</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>CLEAR LAKE:</strong> Class 3A Clear Lake Lions head coach Aaron Stensland and his team are off to a 4-0 start and have won 14 of the last 15 games. The Lions have been knocking out teams early with an offense that has put up 188 points through the first four games. The Lions have outscored their opposition 119-13 in the first half so far this season and the defense is allowing just 7.2 points per game. The quick strike offense is led by senior [player_tooltip player_id='1204540' first='Jaxson' last='McIntire'] who has thrown for 899 yards and 13 touchdowns already while completing 66% of his passes. The Lions are getting steady production in the backfield from senior RB [player_tooltip player_id='1844794' first='Drayce' last='Dohlman'] who has 44 carries for 214 yards and five touchdowns. Senior Dwight Jones has added 173 rush yards. The receiving group has been balanced with senior [player_tooltip player_id='2088789' first='Isaac' last='Brownlee'] 14 receptions for 312 yards and four touchdowns. Senior Maddon McIntirehas hauled in 14 passes for 349 yards and five scores. The defense has been performing at a very high level led by senior LB [player_tooltip player_id='1844805' first='Raif' last='Baack'] with 40.5 tackles and 6.5 TFL. Dohlman has 17.5 tackles and 8.5 TFL.<strong> This week 9/25 vs Independence 1-3.</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>FORT DODGE: </strong>Class 4A Fort Dodge head coach Nik Moser has his team off to an impressive 4-0 start. The Dodgers have outscored their opponents 179-30 and have only allowed three first half points through four games. Senior QB [player_tooltip player_id='1644900' first='Tru' last='McBride'] 6-3 (220) is off to a hot start completing 51-75 passes for 818 yards and 8 touchdowns. The running game features senior RB William McElroy 6-0 (190) who has tore off 623 yards on the ground and seven touchdowns. McBride has added 125 yards and seven scores as well. Junior WR Spencer Smith 6-3 (175) is a nice target with his size and length has caught 11 passes for 148 yards and three scores. Senior WR Kyree Rochon has hauled in 10 passes for 150 yards and four scores. The Dodger defense is anchored by senior [player_tooltip player_id='1654030' first='Jayon' last='Preston-Grady'] with 24.5 tackles and 4.5 TFL. Senior CB [player_tooltip player_id='1827875' first='Sam' last='Moser'] 6-1 (195) has piled up 24.0 tackles. Senior LB [player_tooltip player_id='1640080' first='Jayce' last='Skow'] has 26.5 tackles and 3.5 TFL. The defense has picked off five passes. Junior KR Reggie Pederson 6-3 (175) has been dangerous in the kick return game with five returns for 168 yards averaging 33.6 yards per return. <strong>This week 9/25 @ SBL 4-0</strong>.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>WAUKEE NW:</strong> The Wolves have run off two straight victories after opening up with current #5 Ankeny 4-0 and traditional power Valley 2-2. Senior QB [player_tooltip player_id='1204436' first='Mack' last='Heitland'] 6-0 (185) has been good in the passing game completing 57/91 passes for (803) yards and seven touchdowns while completing 62% of his passes. The rushing game has come to life over the last two games as the Wolves have rushed for 257 yards vs City High and most recently rolled up 301 yards vs Prairie last Friday. Junior RB [player_tooltip player_id='1656826' first='Max' last='Schmitz'] has posted 251 yards on the ground with one score and has (3) receptions for 44 yards and one receiving touchdown. Junior RB [player_tooltip player_id='1603066' first='Paulo' last='Tobongye'] has picked up 222 yards and three touchdowns and has averaged 8.5 yards per carry. A trio of receivers have been productive led by senior [player_tooltip player_id='1204437' first='Jordon' last='Green'] with 12 receptions for 175 yards. Talented sophomore WR [player_tooltip player_id='1743306' first='Devonta' last='Toe'] has 12 receptions for 141 yards and two scores. Sophomore Miles Leifker has reeled in 8 catches for 186 yards and two touchdowns. The Wolves defense has tightened up over the last two games. Senior CB Ben Gallagher leads the team with 18.5 tackles. Senior LB [player_tooltip player_id='1706491' first='Eli' last='Eckerman'] has 16.5 stops and 4.5 TFL.
