<p>Welcome to my new weekly segment TEAM HELMET STICKER AWARDS! This is an article celebrating all things good each week or trends over the course of the season in Iowa high school football! Let's get started with our week three honorees and look forward to what should be an exciting week four across the state of Iowa!</p>

<p><strong>WOODBURY CENTRAL:</strong> Class A Woodbury Central has another really solid team off to a 3-0 start that has a shot to play for all the marbles in November. Junior RB [player_tooltip player_id='2114403' first='Abe' last='McGill'] is off to an excellent start with 47 carries for 583 yards and 10 touchdowns. McGill is averaging 12.6 yards per rush. Senior linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='2114410' first='Holden' last='Koele'] secured 9.0 tackles and 1.5 TFL this past Friday in a win over Westwood 46-0. Koele has a tackle total of 24.5 tackles on the young season. The Wildcat defense has only allowed 13 points through the first three contests.</p>

<p><strong>HINTON: </strong>Class 1A Hinton Blackhawks are winners of two in a row to improve to 2-1 on the season and are having some great performances early on this fall. Sophomore QB Duncan Mathiason has settled in nicely completing 33/49 passes for 468 yards and 6 touchdowns and has most importantly protected the football with just 1 interception. Junior [player_tooltip player_id='1689739' first='Camryn' last='Robins'] has been outstanding on both sides of the football. Robbins leads the Blackhawks in rushing with 174 yards and is averaging 5.3 yards per carry. Robbins has also been on the receiving end of 8 passes for 100 yards and over on defense, Robins leads the team with 22.5 tackles. Senior TE/LB Zach Anderson has 9 catches for 96 yards and totaled 14.5 tackles so far this season. The Blackhawks square off with 1-2 Ridgeview this Friday at 5:00 PM in Holstein. Time change due to stadium light issue.</p>

<p><strong>OABCIG: </strong>Class 2A OABCIG of head coach Larry Allen are off to a 3-0 start this season and sit at #7 in the Radio Iowa poll. This week is a big one as the Falcons will host 2A #1 Carroll Kuemper (3-0) the reigning state champions this Friday night at 7:00 PM. Senior QB [player_tooltip player_id='1198827' first='Raif' last='Jensen'] a University of South Dakota commit has the Falcon offense on track as he has passed for 452 yards and 4 touchdowns in the early going. Jensen has been effective on the ground using his athleticism to pick up 288 yards and 4 scores. Sophomore RB Kolt Spotts (6-2, 193) is off to a hot start with 259 yards and 6 touchdowns. Senior TE and Iowa Hawkeye commit [player_tooltip player_id='1197438' first='Jaxx' last='DeJean'] has 16 receptions for 154 yards and one score. Senior WR J.J. Parks has hauled in 7 catches for 130 yards and one score as well. The defense has been led by junior LB Xander Devitt with 21.5 tackles and 3.0 TFL. DeJean has 11.5 tackles and has been a playmaker behind the line of scrimmage with 5.0 TFL.</p>

<p><strong>SIOUX CENTER:</strong> Class 3A The Sioux Center Warriors have quietly climbed the Radio Iowa Poll rankings and sit at <a href="https://www.siouxlandsportsinsider.com/blog/hashtags/3" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">#3</a> heading into a home game vs Spencer (2-1) this Friday. The Warriors are led by senior QB [player_tooltip player_id='1848693' first='Ezra' last='Hibma'] a Dordt football commit. Hibma has passed for 495 yards and 4 touchdowns. Hibma has shown his versatility in the run game with 334 yards on the ground and 5 scores. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='1848817' first='Tate' last='Swager'] has rushed for 137 yards and 2 touchdowns. Junior WR [player_tooltip player_id='2158684' first='Parker' last='Smit'] has been a big play receiver with 12 catches for 330 yards and 4 scores. Senior linebacker Ethan Bosma (6-2, 195) leads the team with 18.5 tackles and 3.5 TFL. The Warriors host Spencer (2-1) this Friday at 7:00 PM.</p>

<p><strong>SERGEANT BLUFF-LUTON:</strong> Class 4A The #2 ranked Sergeant Bluff-Luton Warriors are 3-0 but the wins have come at a high cost as two senior running backs have been lost for the season. Senior RB [player_tooltip player_id='1992066' first='Beckett' last='Verros'] was lost in week one to a back injury and this past Friday night senior RB [player_tooltip player_id='1529036' first='Ryan' last='Husen'] tore his ACL versus Council Bluffs T.J. Junior QB [player_tooltip player_id='2159690' first='Justin' last='Ehlers'] has performed well completing 20/37 passes for 479 yards and 4 touchdowns. Ehlers provides a nice dimension in the running game with 88 yards and two scores. Senior WR Gavin Ahrendt 6-5 200 has come up big this season with 7 receptions for 182 yards and 5 touchdowns and is a miss-match for most defensive secondary's. Senior LB and U.N.I. commit [player_tooltip player_id='1840100' first='Xavier' last='Jones'] (6-2, 220) has 14.0 tackles so far this season. The Warriors will play host to #5 Glenwood (3-0) this Friday in a big Class 4A contest.</p>

<p><strong>ANKENY:</strong> Class 5A #3 Ankeny Hawks (3-0) of head coach Jeff Bauer are playing good football and have some very talented seniors leading the way. The Hawks defense showcases senior LB/Edge [player_tooltip player_id='1198818' first='Rowan' last='Doak'] (6-5, 215) who is currently committed to the University of Pennsylvania. Doak leads the Hawks with 26.5 tackles and 10.0 TFL. Doak received an offer from NDSU just a couple days ago. Senior LB Dawson Whittinger (6-2, 220) has racked up 22.5 tackles and 7.5 TFL is a University of South Dakota commit. Interestingly enough, Whittinger was just offered by the University of Toledo this week. Senior QB Mason Machan (5-11, 190) is 47/74 passing for 63.5% and has passed for 500 yards and 6 scores through three games. The Hawks will play host to their rival Ankeny Centennial (2-1) this Friday.</p>
