shows off some athleticism and traits that allow him to take over a game for Sioux Center. With an effortless deep ball Hibma can launch the rock down field, but he also has dual-threat ability, showing off the legs when he tucks the ball down and takes off.
Last fall, he completed 110-of-187 passes for 1,675 yards, 21 touchdowns and five picks, adding 92 carries for 484 and seven scores on the ground. A QB that isn’t afraid to take hits, he’ll deliver them from time-to-time, too. If his dual-threat ability translates to a two-way ability and he’s able to rack up some tackles, and maybe some picks, on the other side of the ball, he’ll be in the thick of the conversation for the CDJ Trophy.

‘s sharp rise as the leader of Sioux Center’s offense played a key role in that turnaround. Hibma threw for 1675 yards, 21 TDs, and 5 INTs while rushing for 484 yards (5.3 YPC) and 7 rushing TDs. Hibma was a lot more confident leading the Warriors’ offense compared to his sophomore season, flashing strength points in the short-medium passing game showcasing his athleticism as a dual-threat, and using his legs well to extend the play and create big plays on the fly. With Hibma returning for his senior season, the Warriors could be a dark horse contender within the 3A conference.

nearly took Sioux Center to the UNI-Dome this fall before falling to eventual state runner-up, Bishop Heelan.
Hibma has a bit of an unorthodox throwing motion, not going fully through the typical up-and-over, part of the throw, but it gets the job done. With what appears to be an effortless deep ball, Hibma throws catchable passes and gives his receivers the opportunity to go make a play on it. This fall, he completed 110-of-187 passes for 1,675 yards, 21 touchdowns and five picks.
A little on the shorter side, standing at just 6-foot-1, Hibma makes up for his lack of height with mobility in and out of the pocket, showing the ability to take off and run — and not only do that, but break tackles in the process, too. On the ground, he took 92 carries for 484 and seven scores.

led Sioux Center on a massive single-season turnaround to finish 9-2 and reach the 3A quarterfinals. Hibma threw for 1675 yards, 21 TDs, and 5 INTs while rushing for 484 yards and 7 rushing TDs. Hibma took multiple leaps forward in his junior season, showing improved progressions and great accuracy over the middle, along with a sense of improvisational dazzle, proving quite tricky for his opponents to bring down. Hibma will look to further improve on his consistency in the passing game as he enters his senior season looking to guide the Warriors to a deep playoff run at the 3A level.

has taken his game to a completely new level this season. Starting as a sophomore, Hibma completed less than 50% of his passes, throwing for 276 yards and just two touchdowns to two picks.
During his junior campaign, he 6-foot-1, 195-pound quarterback has completed 100-of-165 passes (60.6%) for 1,564 yards, 20 touchdowns and five interceptions, putting together the fifth-best passer-rating in 3A (174.2). Hibma has also become much more effective as a runner, taking 81 carries for 423 yards and seven scores.
Facing Bishop Heelan — the only team to hand the Spartans a loss in 2025 — Hibma will need to be at the top of his game.

Himba experienced ups and downs as a sophomore in 2024 but flashed potential for breaking out this season. At the very least, expect a statistical spike from the five combined passing and rushing touchdowns Himba recorded a year ago. He also missed the first four weeks of the campaign after tearing his MCL in Week 0. During his 10th-grade highlight video, a polished performer at a young age emerges. Himba sells play-fakes well and can get the ball down the field. He stands out for ball placement, putting it where only his guy can make a play and hitting guys in stride for yards after catch. Himba is one to watch this season.
