The length and fluidity are evident for Rowan Doak Rowan Doak Rowan Doak 6'5" | 200 lbs | DB/QB Ankeny | 2027 State IA . Playing for Centennial this fall, Doak will play for Ankeny in 2026, and he looks like an instant impact addition from day one for the Hawks.

Serving as an outside linebacker, Doak has a knack for reading the quarterback’s eyes in coverage and a nose for the ball and went to pursue the QB if he takes off. Also, he can use his length in zone pass coverage to get into passing windows and force incomletions or interceptions. In the run game, he navigates through the caucaphony of bodies well to find the ball-carrier, and he uses that same length as a sure tackler.

He finished this fall with 32 tackles, 4.5 TFLs and an interception.

Doak is an interesting prospect as a long, athletic athlete with potential to help programs at a yet-to-be determined position. Having played quarterback, he possesses a strong understanding of what everyone on the field is doing, which aids in his positional flexibility. As a defensive back in 2025, the junior delivered 32.0 tackles with 15 of them being solo stops. He posted 4.5 tackles for loss, a sack, a fumble recovery and an interception. Doak shines during his 11th-grade highlight video. He looks comfortable locking down his area of the field in zone coverage. That can be lining up just outside the box in the slot. From there, he crashes down on the run after quickly diagnosing rushing plays coming his way. He’s fast in pursuit with a frame capable of adding good weight, giving significant potential as an outside linebacker.
