2026 Summer Camp SZN: Minnesota's Under-the-Radar Winners

It was yet again a prolific Summer Camp SZN in the Land of 10K Lakes. Thousands of prospects, millions of miles put on the car, and hundreds of reps of indy and competition resulted in a tsunami wave of scholarship offers and college football opportunities for MN recruits from all around the state. You already know some of the biggest winners such as [player_tooltip player_id='2231583' first='Carter' last='Cupito'], [player_tooltip player_id='1651178' first='Brady' last='Reeves'], Carter Collar, [player_tooltip player_id='1669604' first='Blake' last='Loughlin'], and Johnny Moore, but that's only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Minnesota prep football prospects who struck gold on the Summer Camp Circuit. Meet some of the more under-the-radar winners from the 2026 Summer Camp SZN below, and only PrepRedzoneMN.   --    Someone earned themselves a rankings bump! Representing St. Paul Public School competitor St. Paul Johnson, 2027 WR/DB [player_tooltip player_id='1023125' first='AJ' last='Howard'] came into the summer as the most underrated of these eventual under-the-radar winners, making his ascension into D1-offeree and eventual commit even more special. As you can see from the current ranking, PRZMN had no clue how athletic this 651 product is, and Howard put us, as well as the regional coaches in attendance at this summer's UWRF Mega Camp, popping off a 4.7 flat in the 40, a 9'8" broad, and 32" vert at UWRF Mega Camp, where he also earned a shoutout from PRZMN for his performance during 1v1s, where he was dynamic and competitive from his DB spot and more than able to contain even the most explosive wideouts in attendance. Big, long, and always around the football, Howard is able to make plays at all three levels of the field defensively thanks to his overall range, can play 1v1 man-coverage out of the slot, and really looks impressive running the alley and making tackles behind the LOS. Thumper of a tackler from his safety spot as well. Came into the summer with a lone offer from Augsburg but added St. Thomas after the UWRF camp, MSU-Moorhead joined in later with a D2 offer as well but committed to the Tommies around a month and a week after his Tommies opportunity joined the fray. The 2027 installment of this never-ending trend is WR [player_tooltip player_id='2239236' first='Ty' last='Beck'], who exploded onto the state's recruiting scene in near-nuclear fashion thanks to a WR MVP performance at the second South Dakota State prospect camp of the summer. Behind some eye-popping athletic numbers, notably a 10'3" broad jump, Beck was on fire during 1v1s thanks to his overall explosiveness, quickness in and out of his breaks, and combination of route running ability and deep ball prowess. St. Paul's FCS competitor took notice, as did Bemidji State and Black Hills State, who all offered after the performance in Brookings, and UMD joined the fray after Beck balled out at the Bulldogs' team camp the week of June 24th. A captain for the Tigers' upcoming season and a strong baseball player and recruit in his own right, Beck proved in the 2025 regular season that he can win contested catches and track & play the deep ball well, line up and win at multiple receiver spots, and not to mention add multi-phase utility to the picture as an explosive kick returner. Beck displayed acceleration and burst as a route runner and can drop his hips and create separation at the top of the route, and he's also dangerous in space and with the ball in-hand against 6A defenses. However, I think Beck had a monster of an offseason and is poised for a massive senior campaign with his Farmington teammates.   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/TyBeck2027/status/2070576884132274573 </div></figure>     In terms of recruiting ceiling reached and overall success/ROI, Anoka's [player_tooltip player_id='2236602' first='Max' last='Langer'] may have won the 2026 Summer Camp SZN. The 6'3, 250 lber., who is a rock-solid 250 I should add, warmed up his summer camp circuit with a big stop in Eau Claire for the UWEC Big Man Mega Camp, netting him D3 roster spots from the hosting Blugolds as well as Augsburg, and then a big-time showing at the South Dakota State Prospect Camp #2, where his size, athleticism, and 1v1 effectiveness and competitiveness really got his recruiting stock hot. Southwest Minnesota State, Bemidji State, and Minot State all offered immediately after the camp, and then the Jackrabbits came calling a couple of weeks later, which created one of the better storylines and narratives of the summer. Langer's grandfather Jim Langer is one of the best Jackrabbits of all time, not to mention one of the better professional football players from Minnesota of all time.   Langer's size, strength, ability to win with twitch or go speed-to-power, and hand usage were what really stood out amongst a strong group of defensive linemen who made the trip to Brookings that day, and his regular season highlights, in which Langer, who won DPOY for the Tornadoes, are impressive as well. Langer is a thumper at the contact point and a good tackler in space for his size, and he's positionally versatile with the lower body strength and technique combination to easily eat cut block attempts at the LOS. The Anoka product is a crushing block defeater who can take on multiple opponents in a rep and hold his gap, then find, sniff out, and eliminate the RB. He has a rep of block defeat against Blaine where his hands and overall power knock not one, but two, Bengals defenders flat onto their backs, one of which was a puller. Also good body control in space as a tackler. Langer, as well as his 2026 Anoka squad, are really going to make some noise this fall in Class 6A.   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/MaxLanger99/status/2074622990935785536 </div></figure>     A rising junior earning a Missouri Valley offer the summer before their junior season is a big deal and a can't-miss indication of a player who needs to be watched as a potential Golden Gopher and overall FBS/P4 recruiting target. Well [player_tooltip player_id='2239234' first='Aaron' last='Dinukar'] also happens to be a legit 6'1+, 220 lber. and was a starter on Moorhead's inaugural 6A season that saw him trot their way all the way to the Prep Bowl and a Big School runner-up finish in 2025. Dinukar earned his first D1 offer from the University of North Dakota after a great showing in Grand Forks for the Hawks' first prospect camp of the summer, wherein the Moorhead product showed off great size, physicality while padded, and a dynamic skillset that included smooth coverage and blitzing ability. Oh yeah, and he ran a 4.5 (hand timed) during testing.   Dinukar then followed it up with a performance at South Dakota State that frankly I think should have led to an offer, as he came in a rival FCS offer and put together one of the best coverage showings I saw of any LB during the 2026 Summer Camp SZN. Loose hips, the footwork and speed to stay in TE and RB's hip pockets with ease, and eye-discipline more reminiscent of a DB, Dinukar was extremely dynamic in Brookings and I believe the best 2028 LB of the event.   Dinukar's regular season highlights from 2025 display a LB who totaled 32 tackles as a sophomore, including having earned significant playing time against 6A competition as an underclassman, especially at U.S. Bank Stadium against Lakeville South in the 6A state semifinal. As a sophomore, Dinukar was a gap-stuffer and run defender with good instincts and processing around the box. He flowed to the ball quickly and smoothly, and could attack and disengage from multiple blockers in a rep. Plus, Dinukar showed he was a strong and comfortable 1v1 tackler in space with some serious pop and thump behind him. Going to be a huge season for Dinukar, who looks like he has all the ability to be a 100 tackle LB in 2026.   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/A_Dinukar/status/2065241713141072029 </div></figure>     An obvious winner from Minnesota's 2026 Summer Camp SZN, Lakeville South RB [player_tooltip player_id='2125946' first='Griffen' last='Dean'] was criminally underrated coming into the summer's camp circuit. However, it didn't deter Dean from putting on a show at his various stops on the college prospect camp tour, most notably during testing and 1v1s. Like his 11.13 100M PR and 23.41 200M time from the 2026 outdoor track & field season would suggest, not to mention the explosive junior film, Dean can absolutely fly, and he clocked a 40 at 4.46 seconds, and another at 4.50 flat, at the Gopher's prospect camp in early June, really catching the attention of the D2s and FCS programs in attendance. Another strong performance at SDSU saw him go 4.46 in the 40, 3.94 in the pro-agility, and 9'7 in the broad jump during testing and absolutely tear up defenders during 1v1s, and with a multitude of NSIC hammers getting in the mix, the University of Montana came calling on July 11th with Dean's first FCS scholarship offer, and he jumped on the Griz's opportunity six days later. Could Montana have back to back RB1s from MN? PRZMN can't wait to see now that Dean is in the recruiting boat!   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/GriffenDean3/status/2078159979404488748 </div></figure>     The Randolph Rockets have been a Southern Minnesota small school program home to one of the bigger variety of intriguing prep football prospects the past few cycles. Geographically close to my ol' college stomping grounds in Northfield, the size, toughness, and multi-sport utility of Randolph's recent prospects has yet to manifest in any kind of serious recruiting attention since Tyson Cooreman back in 2023. However, all it takes is one Summer Camp SZN to blow your stock out of the water and save yourself some serious money thanks to a collegiate athletic scholarship. Of course, SJU got in first, as the Johnnies' recruiting coordinator Damien Dumonceaux recruits the Land of 10,000 Lakes better than anyone, and UWRF got on his offer sheet early as well, reaching out on May 8th. However, that's a small offer sheet for a verified 6'4, 285 lber. with film as good as Sheridan produced from his junior season, but things changed quickly, especially after a beast of a performance in front of the eyes of PRZMN, PRZDAK, and PRZWI at the UW-Eau Claire Big Man Mega Camp in June. Sheridan's size, toughness, foot speed, and ability to hold up and even flash dominance in pass pro for a small school OL was very impressive, and he proved himself to be a legit OT prospect that day thanks to his bend and quickness at his garage freezer frame and size. D2 Augustana, as well as Augburg and the hosting Blugolds, all offered after the camp, but Sheridan wasn't done yet. After a big showing at the South Dakota State Jackrabbits' second prospect camp of the summer, Sheridan added Southwest Minnesota State, MSU-Mankato, Sioux Falls, and Bemidji State offers, with visits coming recently to SMSU, BSU, and Kato. Sheridan also won OL MVP at the Dakota State Team Camp with his Rockets' teammates late in July to sweeten the pot. Names like [player_tooltip player_id='1120526' first='Cody' last='Braun'] and Malachi Boadi come to mind, but the Mavs' have been doing it since even earlier than those guys, and once again reinforced their evaluating prowess of the 6A heavyweight in the summer of 2026. The Mavs offered three standout 2028 Skippers at this year's team camp, one of whom has tremendous size, athletic bloodlines, and was a completely new name to the PRZMN radar, and all three of these OL are studs in their own right, not to mention rising starters. Beginning with OT [player_tooltip player_id='1695560' first='Brady' last='Harrison'], an exciting rising junior OT prospect with standout in-person evaluation points at this past spring's PRZMN Showcase and a Minnesota Golden Gophers' padded prospect camp. Legit size as reported in the bio, plus-length, and a really fun combination of foot speed, balance, and overall body control. Harrison is athletic enough to handle speed rushers and twitch challenging both shoulders from his OT spot, but he proved while padded this summer that he can also hold up and find success in ultra-physical environments against big-time competition that are sometimes both older than him and from outside MN. He does a good job of staying engaged with a rusher once he gets his meaty mitts on them, and his frame, skillset, and competitiveness reminded me a lot of Germantown (WI) 2027 OT Brady Moranski, who is heading to Wake Forest to play OL. We saw him two summers ago, at that time a rising junior as well. At 6'5, 235 lbs., the younger Boadi played heavy minutes with the Skippers' varsity basketball squad this past winter as a sophomore as a forward, and he was also a Twin Cities Takedown First Team 15U All-Tournament Team selection in May, 2025 from Ryan James and NorthstarHoops, as well as the recipient of multiple other mentions and awards for his hoops' play on the AAU circuit. No football tape on the young man, who Minnetonka may have recruited to play football this year (not confirmed). The third of the three 2028 OL who reported offers coming out of the camp is a familiar name to PRZMN in iOL Lucas "Louie" Kendall. Kendall, a hard working OL who trains with vaunted LOScrimmage and OL coach extraordinaire Lewis Kidd, a former TG and Montana State great, helped anchor the Minnetonka OL that was the foundation of the Skippers' "King of the Hill" championship win at the Mavs' team camp, and his power and proficiency on the gridiron is helped by his strong athletic measurables that manifested during this past 2026 outdoor track & field season, in which Kendall PRed with a 51'2" in the section 2AAA finals.   Tons of encouraging signs for Kendall going into his first as a full-time starter with the Skippers, and Kendall mixed JV and varsity reps in 2025 with Tonka, where he proved himself to be a brute in run blocking and could dominate and finish 6A opponents in both varsity and JV settings alike. Great base in pass pro. Footwork, technique, strength were always evident in his junior season highlights, and he flashed impressive pop in a couple of hits as well, not to mention quality mobility for his size and age. Should be a huge junior year for Kendall, who has been working very hard for this moment with the 6A heavyweight.   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/lucaskendall28/status/2069560559683391881 </div></figure>     It isn't a Lakeville North defense without a D1 linebacker. The Panthers, who, well I was coming up in the MN high school football scene in the early 2010s, was arguably the most fertile recruiting ground for LBs of anywhere in the state. And not just for a single recruiting cycle, I'm talking a half decade to decade of consistency of producing top-tier college LB products. The 2026 re-installment of this trend is [player_tooltip player_id='2128276' first='Jack' last='Juffer'], who will be playing alongside fellow 2027 LB [player_tooltip player_id='1629953' first='Tyler' last='Ruff'], who has D2 and D3 offers himself, not to mention a 3rd place finish at 189AAA in last year's state wrestling championships. Juffer, however, is the D1 offeree and commit of the bunch, an accomplishment aided significantly by Juffer's performance on the summer camp trail. Juffer kicked off his 2026 Summer Camp SZN at the Gophers' prospect camp, coming in at 5'11+, 221 lbs. and popping off a 4.82 40 and 9' broad jump. Juffer then went to Des Moines to camp with Drake's new staff, walking away from the camp with his first D1 offer from the Bulldogs, but the Lakeville product wasn't done yet. Juffer went 4.71 at 222 pounds at the UWRF Mega Camp, not to mention showed an eye-catching coverage skillset and ability from his LB spot. Juffer then went to St. Thomas, earned the FCS Pioneer League opportunity from the hosting Tommies, and committed 10 days later.   In 2025, as a junior with the 6A Panthers, Juffer displayed the quickness to easily beat climbing blockers and bigger OL/TE at the second level and in space, as well as a strong, powerful base and lower body that helped him withstand and eat contact and multiple blocking attempts around the box. Juffer can play standup EDGE as well as off-ball ILB, speed to play OLB at his size as well. He sniffs the ball out quickly and instinctively, can read, process, and beat blocking schemes as they develop in real time, made a ton of plays behind the LOS of opponents, and caused multiple forced fumbles off his sheer initial contact and pop alone. Juffer is a big-time thumper at the contact point and one of the harder hitters in MN going into the season and is especially good at tackling in space. Wiseman may be the #1 Minnesotan on the 2026 Summer Camp Circuit in terms of MVP performances, as the DT won DL MVP at the MSU-Mankato camp, South Dakota State's first prospect camp, and the Augustana (SD) camp early in the summer. Yes, he came into the camp circuit with a D1 offer from Northern Iowa, but Wiseman sure stuffed his offer sheet throughout the summer, as he earned offers from Sioux Falls, Bemidji State, Augustana, Minnesota-Duluth after his performance at the South Dakota State camp. His showing at North Dakota prospect camp #2 also netted him a shoutout from PRZDAK head scout [player_tooltip player_id='1292716' first='Nate' last='Wahl'], and camping in Mankato reeled in an offer from the hosting Mavericks. Wiseman has D1 upside and potential, not just in his size and athleticism, as he is a multi-time All-District and PRZMN Showcase standout with notable and impressive athleticism at his size at a premier position on the recruiting trail. He has produced great tape two years in a row and has always shown up and shown out in 1v1 competitive settings, both padded and unpadded.   The 2025 tape shows a monster in the trenches with a great first step and overall get-off. Wiseman displays twitch for his size, exciting closing speed and overall play speed from the massive DT, and big-time pop when defeating blocks, which he follows up by getting his eyes up and finding the rock before sniffing the potential gain out. The defensive playmaker and game-wrecker from the iDL spot can easily shock & shed a would-be blocker after punching and locking out his arms effectively, and he can also easily eat up, split, hold a gap, and even destroy would-be double teams off the snap at the LOS. Excellent body control and is a great tackler in space, legit pass-rushing juice from the interior, and a noticeably and impressively athletic big body along the interior. A big-time rarity and value pick out of the MN 2027 class.   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/JonWise12010039/status/2064498213923488148 </div></figure>     One of the more underrated and unique DEs in Minnesota going into the fall, Champlin Park's 2027 [player_tooltip player_id='1665773' first='Will' last='Ogunti'] made sure to let PRZMN know he was ranked far too low during the 2026 Summer Camp SZN. A long, rangy, wiry now-reported 6'3, 210 lber. - 6'2, 225 lber., Ogunti had a strong junior season with the 6A Rebels and produced some good film, not to mention production, as a result. 48 tackles, 10 TFLs, 8 sacks, and 2 FFs versus MN 6A competition is no joke, and Ogunti translated the pass-rushing ability to the 2026 Summer Camp SZN. Northern State and Minnesota-Duluth offers after SDSU Prospect Camp #1 in the summer, two great evaluators of MN talent from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.   Ogunti's 2025 season highlights display DE who also has some reps as an off-ball OLB in a two-point stance and working out on the edge. Mostly aligns as a 5T or a shade or two eider but has reps from the Wide9 outside the TE. The Champlin product is an effective speed rusher that can really threaten and expose an OT's pass set, especially to their outside shoulder, and he can turn the corner effectively at the top of his rush. Ogunti shows some teasing of an ability to go speed-to-power, na dhe does a good job of working through contact and not allowing OT's to play a full man. Plus, as a pursuer, he can mirror ball carriers well in space and runs the alley with authority and speed. If Ogunti can hit that 10 sack mark this season he'll be in the running for some All-Metro honors.   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/ogunti33/status/2064067482097254481 </div></figure>     Representing a Buffalo program that always seems to be producing XL and extra tough talent across the board, the Bison have a fun mix of 2027s going into the fall and will be led at the front of OL Matthew Babatz. The younger brother of 2025 Buffalo grad Ryan Babatz, a true freshman starter at OT for the North Dakota State Bison last fall, Matthew came into the the summer with no offers but quickly put PRZMN and the local college suitors on blast about what they were missing. A big-time performer during 1v1s and when the pads were crackin' and the competition was heating up, Babatz earned Bemidji State, Southwest MN State, UW-Eau Claire, Augsburg, and MSU-Moorhead offers throughout various stops at South Dakota State, North Dakota, UW-Eau Claire, and NDSU camps. That MSUM offer was eventually the one to stick, as Babatz shut down his recruitment and committed to the Dragons two days after receiving the offer.   Babatz's 2025 season highlights show off a RG who is very technically sound, light and nimble on his feet for an iOL, and one of the best pass sets in the state going into 2026. Babatz has very clean footwork in his pass set, looks balanced and is able to gain depth at speed while staying square, and is also is far from passive in pass pro, as it should be. He can dominate on simple down blocks, does a great job of staying square and not reaching over extending in both run and pass blocking scenarios, including against blitzers, and looks extremely comfortable in pass pro settings overall. Plus, he'll be playing closer to big bro. What a match and what a winner from the 2026 Summer Camp SZN.   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/MatthewBabatz/status/2070695579844243808 </div></figure>     Northfield has a good looking roster going into the fall, and the Raiders are home to a 2027 WR who PRZMN was dying to see live and in person in WR [player_tooltip player_id='1633454' first='Ben' last='Ims']. A super productive wideout from last season who totaled 45 catches for 844 yards and and 9 TDs (18.8 YPC) in MN's 5A ranks, Ims had great film from his junior year but really needed the verified athletic measureables to put things into context. Ims more than measured up at the opening Minnesota Gophers' camp of the summer, popping off strong athletic times, especially in the 40, and his height and length were impressive as well. Minnesota State-Mankato offered right after the camp's conclusion, UMD joined four days later, and Northern State and Bemidji State added themselves to the mix later in June.   Ims was a game-breaker in 2025. Opens his tape by getting open on a slant, outpacing the coverage corner, and then putting a nifty move and some great footwork on the awaiting safety and free defender, working himself loose where he then accelerates and finds pay dirt on what should have been a routine tackle for the helpless defense. He was a man-coverage annihilator, especially when working vertically, and could even easily torch two-high or that MOF defender thanks to his raw speed and explosiveness. These are 5A defenses and DBs too! Excellent ball track and ball skills, including 50/50 contested catch ability too.
