Carter Cupito Carter Cupito 5'11" | 150 lbs | QB St. Paul/Minnehaha/Blake | 2030 MN had already been a name that had been generating significant attention as one of the few 8th-grade starting QBs last season, and he has grown significantly in his second year as a starter for the Wolfpack. Cupito has completed nearly 70% of his passes, throwing for 1617 yards, 23 TDs, and 3 INTs while rushing for 129 yards and a rushing TD. He has guided SMB to an undefeated start through the regular season, and has poised SMB to be a potential frontrunner for the 4A state title over the coming weeks. He has grown impressively comfortable in the lineup for SMB as a freshman, showing great poise and confidence in the pocket, showing impressive sharpness and precision on his throws, and he has really helped this offense find their rhythm and get into sync. The results for SMB have been substantial, having grown as a program over these last 2 seasons, and now, Cupito has the Wolfpack lined up for a potential state title run in just his 2nd year as a starter.

Much like Feeney for Player of the Midseason, this wasn’t a hard choice. SMB’s Carter Cupito Carter Cupito 5'11" | 150 lbs | QB St. Paul/Minnehaha/Blake | 2030 MN has been lighting up the Metro’s 4A ranks as a second-year starter and youthful freshman, and the Gopher offeree would be a plug-and-play QB at any program in the state minus Moorhead and Minnetonka for this 2026 season. 67 completions on 98 attempts (68.4%) for 1,152 yards and 15 TDs to 3 INTs. SMB is 5-0 right now, and I don’t see them being challenged until Week 8 against Simley.

The obvious #1 contender for the PRZMN Underclassmen Offensive Player of the Year Award comes out of Minnehaha Academy and the SMB Wolfpack football co-op. #1 football and basketball player in Minnesota’s 2030 class is already the total package, coming into his freshman season and second year starting at QB for the Wolfpack with a B1G football offer from the Minnesota Gophers thanks to a standout camp performance in June. Coming off a 2025 season as an 8th grader that saw him finish with 1,952 passing yards and 16 TDs on a 60% completion percentage and 140 total completions.

Went crazy in SMB’s Week 1 win over Winona. Throws a beautiful deep ball. Accurate, on time, makes good decisions with the football at all three levels of the field. Good pocket awareness and is cool, calm, and controlled scrambling and maneuvering around the pocket, as well as when he tucks and takes off. Also shows good ball placement on a couple particularly challenging throws. Shifty ball carrier with some juice in the open field.
