Dunning debuts as a top DL prospect in the 2029 class and holds FBS offers. He is a stout, strong player with powerful hands and a true projection to play on the interior, likely as a 2 or 3T. He is a functional athlete with the range and activity to chase the ball and play in space, but is best at the point of attack where he can control the point and manipulate blockers with his hands. He has developed nicely to this point and will only build more buzz for himself here on out.

Patterson is an undersized but productive DB who started on varsity as a freshman for Enterprise. His size might knock him inside for good long-term, but he covers better as a corner than most players at his size. He has the footwork, speed, and hips to match and carry routes, but it's his ability to play through the ball and attack the catch point that sticks out to me. He is an energetic, violent tackler who can separate ball from ball carrier. I think Patterson has a chance to generate FBS buzz, even in spite of his size.

Knight is a traitsy DL prospect who has a chance to hold steady as a premier DL prospect out of AL in the 2029 class. He is a broad-shouldered, strong player who is tough to create push against.
Floyd was one of the most highly productive freshman players in AL last fall, regardless of position. He handles QB duties for Hewitt-Trussville, but a long-term projection as an athlete is certainly in play. He has a quick release and impressed with his accuracy and efficiency as a passer last fall. He is a true game changer as a runner, both in the scramble and by design. He has the speed and twitch to break down defenders and separate, but also the low center of gravity and temperament to drop his shoulder and invoke contact. Regardless of where he ends up long term, Floyd has a prolific HS career in front of him.

There's a second group of QBs in the state who are waiting in the shadows to emerge, and I think Jasper currently leads that group. When projecting out long term, I am most bullish on Jasper because I believe he has the most live arm in the group. The ball just looks different coming out of his hand, and if he can grow, I see a world where Jasper fills in as another FBS QB prospect for Central. He will have no shortage of weapons to get the ball to.

Burrell debuts as the top 2029 LB in our rankings draft and is far advanced in his physical development. He likely played lighter than listed as a freshman, but still hides his weight on a long, lean frame. He is an athletic player who can play in space, but is best between the C gaps. He is an urgent but patient player who stalks his prey and drives hard to contact. He has the mass and physicality to set the tone at the point of attack, an element of his game that should improve. Burrell's freshman tape tells me he is years ahead of his development.

Burrell and Banks are 1A and 1B for me, at least in this rankings draft. Similar to Burrell, Banks just has the look, physique, and tape of a prospect much older than he actually is. Banks is tall, lean, and athletic, quickly getting up to speed and covering a lot of ground. There is plenty of tread on the tires here, and even as more prospects emerge, Banks has the tools and ability to make a push for the top LB prospect in the class, especially given his early varsity production.

There's a lot to like about Nunnelly, who I think has a chance to rise even higher in future updates. Both on tape and in person, Nunnelly is a smooth, snappy player in his routes who can separate before the catch.
[player_tooltip player_id='2100670' first='Major' last='Hudspeth'] is staring down the barrel of a highly prolific high school career after a breakout freshman campaign. He is a smaller QB who compensates with his feel and precision.
Baker is an athletic WR sounding some alarms, especially with his sub-11-second PR in the 100M.
Lawson is a long, lanky athlete who plays on both sides of the football. He might project best as a receiver, where he eats through cushion with his long strides and can bend and flex in his routes to break off his stem. As a defender, he is smooth when staying in phase with receivers and will violently throw himself into ball carriers. I like the upside here.

Sturgis is a productive back from a year ago who played himself into our top 50. He is a smaller, lean scat back with impressive space skills. His initial speed is impressive and sets the stage here, allowing him to quickly occupy space and beat defenders to a point. GPS speeds are reporting over 22 MPH here, which makes sense.

Houser, ranked as our 4th-best OL in the 2029 class, rounds out our top 50. He is a shorter, true projection on the interior OL, especially if he holds at 6'1. He holds his weight well and doesn't look awkward as a mover. He plays with the proper temperament at his size, manipulating defenders with his hand strength and power. I think there's a world where Houser gets some buzz as an NT if he holds at 6'1. Regardless, he has developed well to this point.
