“Sturgis thrives off his speed. He’s a tough back to stop in the open field. Once he really gets moving, he can use his speed and change of direction skills to easily outrun and evade any defender in pursuit.

On top of that, Sturgis is great at withstanding contact. He can take some big hits and keep moving. It’s really impressive seeing how physical a runner he is. His combination of speed and physicality is going to take him far- watch out this upcoming season.”

“Sturgis is an explosive threat out of the backfield. His speed, acceleration, and vision allow him to consistently break off huge runs on the ground both inside and outside of the tackles. I really love seeing how well he follows his blockers; he’s patient, waits for the perfect time to strike, and consistently capitalizes greatly on those rushing lanes.

As soon as Sturgis gets past the line of scrimmage, good luck stopping him. He has top-end speed that completely separates him from every defender on the field. I really am looking forward to watching this kid next season. He’s a super impressive weapon for this Alma Bryant offense.“

Sturgis had a terrific start to his career last fall, recording 113 carries for 582 yards and 8 TDs on the ground.
