2026 PRZNY Team Previews: St.Anthony’s Friars

They faced losses against out of state opponents from Don Bosco(NJ), and McDonough(MD). Inside conference play, they fell twice to Iona Prep in both the regular season and playoffs, and to Monsignor Farrell. Bala stands at 6'0" 220-Pounds, displaying an excellent frame for a prospect. He has elite speed, and can make sharp cuts behind the line, and take off in a flash for a big gain. He showed good poise, and displayed a high IQ, progressing through his reads, and making on time accurate and quick throws. he also showed his ability to escape the pocket and create plays with his legs. He showed outstanding strength and was the OL MVP at our PRZNY Showcase in May. His elite use of leverage, and his hand placement made him an impossible force to penetrate despite the rain. The Future D1 prospect has been elite to say the least throughout High School. He showcased elite strength and excellent hands with his blocking and moves extraordinarily well for a player of his size. He played a solid role as a young WR/TE prospect on offense last season, and will step into a TE/WR role. He showed elite route running and showcased an elite ability to go up and get the ball. The Friars then will take on another NJ Squad, in St. Peter's Prep (NJ), in two competitive early tests. Catholic league play then opens, and once again the Friars have a gauntlet of games against teams like Monsignor Farrell, Iona Prep, Chaminade, Cardinal Hayes, and AA opponent Xavier. A younger team will take the field this season, but the Friars have some star power, and could be primed for a trip to Fordham to end the season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
