is a combine and on paper QB. His frame was elite and the best of any QB, and he had the best Broad Jump of 9’8″.
While Fortin did look a bit stiff with the weather, that was to be expected for QB’s. He had a compact release, which can get quicker, but despite this the ball was delivered on the money with good velocity. Fortin hit his throws, and made tough angles look easy throughout the afternoon.

Standing out all weekend and earning 2nd Team All-Camp honors,

brought a big stature and commanding presence to the NY Exposure Series in Warwick, NY. To start off, Jacob’s arm strength was easily his biggest weapon. He showed the ability to drive the football into tight windows and laser in throws to every level of the field with confidence. Some of his best reps came when hitting receivers perfectly in stride, allowing playmakers to keep momentum after the catch, even in the pouring rain. He also showed off his lower body power during testing, recording the top broad jump mark of the event at 9’8”, adding another layer to an already impressive weekend.

Fortin’s got really really good size. Potentially the best out of all of the quarterbacks that attended. He had a compact release, but I felt he was a little stiff throwing the ball. That could totally be attributed to the rain, but I’d love to see him get the ball a little closer to his head in his release.

Background: Fortin is one of three St. Anthony’s QB’s in the 2028 class, and while has limited game film due to injury, put together impressive showcase and camp tape over the offseason.
Size: Fortin has exceptional size standing at 6’3″ 205-Pounds. His frame is perfect for a QB, and his consistent muscle adding is impressive
Arm Accuracy/Strength: Fortin has a strong arm, capable of tossing the ball 35+ yards down the field with ease. He can hit all three levels of the field, and does so with good accuracy. He does tend to float balls, which leads to some inaccuracies and tough to catch balls.
Footwork/Mechanics: His mechanics are impressive, and I like his quick release. He does need to work on floating the ball, which involves refining his mechanics. His footwork is solid, and he moves around the pocket well. Outside the pocket we see solid accuracy thanks to good footwork. Can use some fine tuning here.
IQ: Fortin showcases a good IQ, and the ability to work through progressions. He needs to focus on getting the ball out to open players quickly and not forcing throws. His speed is elite as well, and his legs and strength make him a deadly dual threat force with the ball.
Final Word: Fortin is a solid rising QB, who showcases a strong arm, and elite IQ. I like his footwork and his ability to navigate the pocket. Moving forward I want to see him tweak his mechanics and slow down plays behind the LOS, to improve decision making and accuracy. Fortin is a QB I have high hopes for moving forward.

. The 2028 St. Anthony’s prospect, stands at 6’2″ 183-Pounds, displaying an impressive build for the QB position.
Fortin split time with Galvin throughout the weekend, and I liked Fortin’s ability to launch the ball deep, and fit the ball into tight windows across the field. He displayed a good IQ, and moved through his progressions well. Overall, the 2028 QB, had a solid weekend in the Dome

Fortin made his second Showcase appearance in New England and he once again proved why he will become one of the Top QB’s in the 2028 class. Standing at 6’2″ 180-Pounds, he has an outstanding frame for a QB.
Fortin once again had an impressive showcase, and while his L-Drill time does not show up, he clocked in the Top 15 for the other three drills, along with taking home an impressive broad jump with a 10’1″. Fortin displayed an elite arm, with good footwork, and good accuracy. He was easily one of the Top QB’s in Danbury in my opinion.

Fortin is a name that might be familiar to Prep Redzone New York readers. The St. Anthony’s signal caller, stands at 6’3″ 180-Pounds, and displays a solid build for the QB build.
In game reps were limited due to an injury which stopped him from throwing this past season. In game film, showcased his elite pocket presence, along with his legs, which can create long runs, and escape the pocket to create plays on the run.
We saw him at multiple showcases this off season, where he was impressive in combine testing, and displayed an outstanding arm with good accuracy. Fortin is a huge addition for Iron Hawks.

Those who keep up with Prep Redzone NY, are tired of hearing his name. The St. Anthony’s QB, has continued to impress in Showcases, and Camps, and once again he showed out at Coach Flora’s Camp.
Fortin once again impressed in the Combine testing portion, performing in the top ten of every drill. He had the longest broad jump, and displaced good quickness, during his 5-10-5 drill. Throughout the afternoon, he displayed a good ball, paired with good accuracy, and timing on his throws. he moved well throughout the pocket, and displayed good anticipation, along with moving through his progressions.

Fortin had the most impressive combine of all the QB’s. His testing numbers were in the Top Three for the position in each drill. Fortin is another 2028 Friar who came to Warwick, and he also put on a show. Fortin displayed good size, standing at 6’3″ 180-Pounds, and still has tons of room to grow. Fortin had an amazing day throwing the ball, and I liked his motion and mechanics during 1v1 drills. His accuracy, was also on display as he placed the ball beautifully on multiple throws throughout the afternoon. Fortin has a bright future at the QB Position.
