When nearly 1,000 kids come out to camp you are sure to see some elite numbers be laid down. Numbers that are going to separate kids and earn them far more attention than they had before the event. Scrolling through the results from that day, there are definitely some wild numbers from athletes that college coaches need to have on their radar. Today we direct the spotlight to those Freak Show performances. We are going to identify and list the top numbers, and then take a look at their past season's film to see how it may have translated. Let's dive in! Coaches, make sure to get your eyes on these kids. Every 2027 in this article is uncommitted.

Our first freak performance comes from Appleton West 2027 RB [player_tooltip player_id='2236581' first='Charlie' last='Blevins']. The 5'9" 172 lbs RB put together a great combine with his official numbers coming in at:

Outstanding numbers for an RB that is built to provide that change of pace, third down role. Looking back to last season, Charlie was restricted to 7 games with an injury but he still showed that those athletic tools translate putting up 592 rushing yards and 198 receiving yards for 5 total TDs. On tape, Charlie is a decisive runner whose play shows that he is confident in his athletic tools. He believes he can beat angles and attacks those opportunities instead of dancing with defenders in space. When he sticks his foot in the ground to get up field you see the explosive traits shine as he is quick to get to top speed. I'm excited to see what he does in his senior season. The '27 RB just earned an offer from UW- Stout following his camp efforts with them.

Will hit our radar last summer with a solid camp showing. He is back again following an even stronger effort in 2026. The first major takeaway is that Will has now grown to 5'10" 161 lbs, making his numbers look even better than last summer. Those numbers are:

Those great numbers are verified on his junior CB tape. The 2027 CB brings speed to the outside that allows him to take WRs 1 on 1 and provide tight coverage all over the field. On top of the athleticism, Will also did a great job of attacking the ball at high points and breaking up passes. The '27 CB has tape showing he can play press at the line or play off coverage and still be able to quickly turn and run with WRs without giving up much ground. Will holds offers from Jamestown and St. Norbert's.

The highly productive LB out of Verona roamed his way to 100+ tackles as a junior. The ILB has great combine numbers, matching his explosive and powerful athleticism that allows him to play through the trenches and provide stout run support. What the tape shows that the combine can't is that Jack plays even faster because of his instincts and how quickly he can read and react. That alone seems to give him an extra half step every snap. The talented LB holds offers from Upper Iowa, SMSU, St. Thomas, Western Illinois, Butler, and Sioux Falls.

A big reason behind Ashton being more of a sleeper and looking for his first offer is that he missed his entire junior season with injury. So we don't have film to look back at from 2025. Looking back at older film we see a lanky WR who dominated in the redzone with his ability to high point the football. Now with a more filled out frame and strong testing numbers I am expecting to see Ashton have a breakout season for Altoona. Don't overlook the talented WR.

The standout Badger DB [player_tooltip player_id='2103434' first='Oliver' last='Schaid'] put together arguably the best combine performance of the entire camp, showing not only top end speed, but agility, acceleration, powerful burst, and the ability to make plays on the football. The elite combine numbers are as follows:

All of those numbers were competing for best of the camp. It is so great to see strong tape be supported down the road by strong testing. The Badger DB is coming off an 8 PBU, 2 INT season The tape highlights a CB who can make the unordinary play look natural. Oliver is so twitchy that he can sit in zone, read the QB or what is developing around him and explosively close on the ball to make plays. Even if it wasn't his original assignment Oliver has shown he can make plays. The 2027 is a legitimate playmaker with legitimate next level traits. He holds offers from Eau Claire, Whitewater, Minot State, and River Falls. Come get him while you still can.

All of these are great numbers for an LB who plays inside and outside at Marshfield and is coming off a 97 tackle junior season. After seeing these numbers and then going back to watch the tape I have a feeling we will see Lukas make a move up our rankings. The LB did a great job roaming the middle of the field last season. He brings sideline to sideline range to the field. The '27 reads and diagnoses quickly. He has flashed success playing in coverage and is really good at getting to the football through traffic against the run. The tape matches the numbers. The '27 LB is looking for his first offer. He has WIAC steal written all over him, so I'm waiting to see who pulls the trigger first on the productive LB with size, athleticism, and a 3.3 GPA.

All these numbers were among the best within the QB position. The 2028 athlete has also let it be known he is willing to play anywhere on the field, and with those numbers he legitimately can learn several spots on either side of the ball. Watching through last year's tape, you can't help but get excited when he tucks the ball. That is where some serious highlights are produced with his blend of speed and physicality. When he drops back that natural athleticism carries over to his fluid throwing motion and ability to drive the ball even to the deep portions of the field. I'm excited to see his role with Kaukauna this fall in his junior season.

I was already very intrigued by Braydon as it looks like he is gearing up to be the new QB1 for the Bay Port Pirates. Then I looked through the Minnesconsin results and saw the numbers he put up during their combine:

That is plenty of long speed for the dual threat QB, but what really excites me are the explosive numbers that highlight his ability to be elusive with the football. They also show suggest that he has built a strong and explosive lower body over this offseason. Looking back at his JV tape it is unfair to put it lightly. He shreds defenses with his vision, speed, and elusive agility. Braydon is going to fit what the Pirates ask of their QBs really well. Northern State isn't wasting any time either as they offered the 2028 while he was at camp this summer.

Those numbers support the type of athlete Kyan played like in 2025 when he piled up 100+ tackles, 15 TFLs, and 5 sacks. This is a kid who plays with his hair on fire. You watch through and see those strong numbers shine through as he blitzes, or pursues sideline to sideline, or drops and roams the middle of the field in coverage. His range to chase down the ball shines on several reps. The 2027 LB holds offers from Eau Claire, Carroll, Stevens Point, Dordt, and Oshkosh.
