*Grab an annual PRZ subscription at a 30% discount with code Johnson30 at checkout*

The calendar is rolling along! We enter July after a very eventful June camp cycle. A cycle that saw hundreds of offers, and dozens upon dozens of verbal commitments from the Class of 2027. We have long preached that this is the most talented Class that we have covered in WI, and the commitments are tracking that way. The top end of the rankings are made up of athletes who have mostly made their next level decision. So the few that haven't yet are top commodities. That who is we are spotlighting today! The top ranked athletes who haven't announced a verbal commitment. Coaches, these athletes should be at the top of your lists. Let's dive into a talented group of soon-to-be seniors!

The Class of 2027 is the most talent and depth we have seen at the OL position. Almost every single one of them has made their verbal commitment, making Carter the #1 uncommitted OL by a good margin. The Germantown IOL brings an immense amount of talent to the interior. A massive frame with equivalent power to match. He is a natural athlete with the feet to easily mirror IDL, quickly burst to the body positioning/leverage victory, and also the flexibility to be able to always get underneath DL trying to bull rush. Carter is also a very talented baseball player with offers to play at the next level, showing how far that natural athleticism has gotten him. Carter is a prototypical IOL recruit who holds a few D1 offers currently. If you somehow haven't watched this kid you need to change that, coaches.

This summer we were able to catch up with Anthony and see that he was partaking in drills as an OL. That is something we have been predicting would be a future change for him. At the UWRF camp we were able to see him show him abilities in pass pro. That was a huge box to check as he did really well to use his length and his athletic base to be able to mirror and stay square in front of his man. We already have a high level of confidence in his power and run blocking talent as he has been asked to do that a ton at TE in the Union Grove offense. The athletic future OL is a big ball of clay ready for a college OL coach to take his game to the next level.

One of the more slept on athletes in this Class is LB1, Harder Larsen, of Evansville. After some great camp performances I wasn't the only one feeling that way, with our Midwest Director, Oliver West, expressing the same feeling after Harker's Gopher camp efforts. Harker is such a dynamic LB. He has experience and impactful success playing inside and outside. The size, length, and athleticism give him the ability to play either at the next level. The 2027 LB also has the instincts needed to shine in the middle of a defense. The 2027 LB has been so athletically dominant that he also plays RB for the Evansville offense. Coaches, come get a steal!

Next up we have the longtime QB1 here in WI. Tyler has had a good summer including a trip out to South Dakota State where he left with the QB MVP honor. The 6'3" 200 lbs signal caller is exactly what many look for at the position. Experience, production, and a winning history with glimpses of clutch moments over three years of varsity experience. On the field, Tyler is always in command of his offense. He understands his reads, is poised in the pocket, and has elite command over his ball placement as well as a great sense of touch and when to lean on the velocity he can put on the ball when necessary. The Lake Mills standout is set to have a huge senior season. I can't wait to see who hits the lottery with this kid.

My top uncommitted TE in the Class of 2027 is the Waunakee standout. Mac has spent his high school career showing a great variety of skills that make a well rounded college TE. He has the size at 6'5" 230 lbs, is a smooth athlete in space running crisp routes and then flashing the athleticism to be able to create things after the catch. Mac also has proven to be a dynamic blocker, going as far as to earn All Conference OL honors while filling in on the OL as a junior. It will be interesting to follow his career to see if a position change eventually happens for him or if he stays at TE. Either way, a versatile athlete like this will be a big addition for a college coaching staff. Don't miss out!

Jude is an intriguing weapon at the WR position. He checks in at 6'6" 205 lbs and has a vast background on the hardwood court where he has learned to harness that size. That frame is built to dominate any time the ball is above the rim on the court or on the field. The 2027 has a great sense of body awareness, timing, and his strong hands are able to muscle the ball away from opponents. A mismatch like Jude is extremely hard to find. I can easily see him having a WR/TE role at the next level. That is if he chooses to play football at the next level. I'm excited to see what he does on the field this fall.

Next up we have another impressive TE recruit. Justin, formerly out of Mukwonago High School, now plays for Sun Prairie East. The big man is now up to 6'4" 245 lbs, and that is going to make him even more dangerous on the field. That size and strength increase this offseason is only going to make him more of a three down TE who can make a key impact as a run blocker as much as he does as a receiving threat. Justin's range to be able to either cross the field on his routes or cross the formation on a bull to lay out an edge is a huge piece to his game. This is another athlete who plays TE, but also may have a future on the OL. Powerful blocking definitely runs in the family. Don't miss out on the talented athlete.

After watching him live in a game vs Stevens Point, we were already massive fans of the Hudson DL. We eventually would debut him as our DL2 because of his elite frame with length and a ton of space to grow him into a massive IDL. He is quick for his size, and able to generate power to collapse the pocket almost instantly out of his stance. That was enough for us to believe he could be a potential D1 talent. Then this summer we watched him compete successfully on the OL at padded camps. Even as a raw OL the big man was impressively natural. Light on his feet, utilizing his length to his advantage. The kid has legitimate talent to play OL or DL at the next level and that fact only makes him more valuable. Coaches should be lining up for the 6'5" 270 lbs lineman with a 3.98 GPA. MASSIVE steal.

We can't do a Top Uncommitted 2027 article without including the Monona Grove nightmare that is [player_tooltip player_id='1620332' first='Deangelo' last='Clay'] on the DL. The 2027 DL takes the cake when it comes to the most disruptive defender in WI. The kid has lived in offensive backfields the past two seasons. The should only be more apparent this season with Clay returning to the field up to 250 lbs. Despite the leap in size, we have seen him in person this summer and it is clear that there has been no loss in quick twitch athleticism or burst off the snap. The only change is that Deangelo is able to create even more power at the point of contact with the extra weight behind him when he makes that strong initial punch to create separation. The hands are violent, the feet are quick, and the instincts are high. A big senior season is on the horizon. I can't wait to see where Deangelo eventually commits.

One of the best OL still on the market is the Racine Case OT. Checking in at 6'3" 280 lbs, Nathan surely looks the part of a future college OL. Then you click on the tape and it is evident that he has the talent to be one. Nathan is an explosive OL who is quick out of his stance, closing the gap and getting hands on then flashing that lower body power to literally run DL out of the trenches. The power to reset the line of scrimmage jumps off the tape over and over in the run game. When this kid locked his hands onto his opponent he was going to control where they went until the whistle blew. Because of that athleticism, Nathan looks comfortable in pass protectiont too. He trusts his feet and does well to stay balanced and not get caught reaching. The 2027 OL is very talented and should put together an outstanding final season for Racine Case.

Do yourself a favor and head over to Ian's twitter and watch the bulldozer's highlights from 2025. The big man has a massive frame and the tape matches that size. Ian is able to overwhelm DL in the run game with his size and strength. He has a punch that can shove DL to the ground off that initial contact. For a kid with so much power to his game, it is impressive to see how he can flip the switch in pass pro to sliding and mirroring then setting a stout anchor. Ian is an intriguing athlete who could potentially play inside or out at OT at the next level. Don't get caught sleeping on the special OL.
