TE is one of this state's elite position groups when it comes to college level talent production. Every year we see this state produce at least a couple D1 recruits and several that go on to play D2/D3 football. The group falls right in line with our elite ability to produce offensive linemen. It is a group of massive frames, extremely impressive athleticism, and power as a run blocker. That three down versatility that much of this group shows entices so many college programs and has many returning to this state year over year to target our impressive TE mismatches. But who are among the 10 best at the position in the state? We answer that question here in this article. Join us as we breakdown our Top 10 TEs in Wisconsin.

The premier talent of the position is Wisconsin Badgers 2027 commit [player_tooltip player_id='1226882' first='Korz' last='Loken']. The small school star possesses Power 4 talent that landed him among the best in the entire country. An elite frame, natural and fluid athleticism, elite ball skills, and the versatility to line up out wide or inline at the traditional TE position. The playmaker is such a mismatch, using both speed and size/power to win battles downfield. Plus he isn't afraid to get involved as a blocker. The 2027 was injured early in 2025, so I'm very excited to see him finally back on the field this fall and put on a show.

The #1 uncommitted TE in Wisconsin is 2028 [player_tooltip player_id='1627702' first='Jake' last='Mau'] of Kimberly. The sophomore has a rare frame, already 6'6" 225 lbs. The leap he made in his flexibility, body control, and overall athleticism has earned him several FBS offers already and moved him into this spot at TE2 in the entire state. This kid is your traditional, inline TE who is going to use his strength to get off the line quick and clean, or to manhandle DEs/edges in the run game. I'm very excited for the next leap in development that we see from the stud TE this year.

Anthony might be the most versatile of the position, and because of it the most likely to even change position at the next level. The Union Grove monster plays TE and DE for the Broncos at a very high level. On offense they don't go to the TE often, so instead the massive TE is utilized as an extra OL. The 6'6" 285 lbs beast has that frame loaded to the max with violent power that bulldozes DL off the line of scrimmage. Because of his size and production in the run game I could very easily see Anthony being moved to OL and working his way into being a legitimate FBS OL. Whether it is TE, OL, or DL the 2027 athlete has the talent to play D1 football.

[player_tooltip player_id='2103475' first='Eli' last='Krueger'] is a very exciting and raw TE recruit. He is actually even more of a basketball recruit with several offers to his name already. But it is hard to ignore the natural gifts of the 6'9" 220 lbs TE on Friday nights. He has the largest catch radius in the state because of his frame and wingspan. He catches the ball with his hands away from his body to maximize that target area. He is surpassingly light on his feet too and can get downfield well or pick up yards after the catch. Don't sleep on this impressive 2027.

The further we get into this list the more we are splitting hairs because the depth among the top TEs from Class to Class is so impressive. Next up we go to Waupun for their sophomore TE who also has been an impact player off the edge. The sophomore is an animal after the catch. He runs so hard, has a powerful and low center of gravity, and there is no fear if he needs to run behind his shoulder pads. That makes the big man a force in the short passing game. Once he hits the open field you see him flex that speed to beat some downfield angles too. The fact he still has two seasons ahead of him has me very excited for what Owen could continue to develop into just at the high school level. Big things ahead for him.

This is one of my favorite TEs in the state. Great size, meets the athletic thresholds you want to see in a TE, and a force in the run game. So much so that Mac actually filled in on the OL this season so well that he earned All Conference honors for his dominance. When he did get to play TE he saw 5 targets, turning 2 of them into TDs. Being selfless like that on top of being as talented as he is speaks volumes of the type of person Mac is. No doubt he can offer that three down ability to an offense at the next level.

Another athlete at the TE position who made a big leap from the previous year is sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1627993' first='Dane' last='Warren']. The sophomore added good size to that 6'3" frame and has him looking the part of a next level TE recruit now. Dane is his most dangerous as a receiving threat. You can move him around and get him into advantageous matchups where he can either exploit that size or catch the defender slipping with his athleticism and smooth route running. As just a sophomore Dane put up 43 receptions for 465 yards, earning him All Conference HM. I'm looking forward to watching him develop into even more of a dynamic weapon this year.

Justin is putting in the work this offseason. He just recently posted a big squat in the gym and shared that he is now up to 245 lbs. That is going to come in handy because Justin is heavily utilized for his blocking abilities. That extra strength and size are going to only help him move DL out of gaps. Justin also has great range to be able to lead across the formation and run over LBs in the hole. I love that every rep you see Justin show he can get underneath his man, get hands in good positioning, and release his power while running his feet through contact. Showing he can add size like this might even have Justin as a potential future OL down the road. Either way, having a physical blocker like Justin is an advantage for a team.

With Jackson's teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1729995' first='Mac' last='Johnson'] having to play OL we were able to get a great look at Jackson as TE1. The junior is a very well balanced TE. One that can collapse DL down the line of scrimmage with his leverage and powerful lower body. Also one that excels in the short passing game. He runs angry, flashes a strong stiff arm, and is able to absorb contact really well without losing his balance. 2025 was just the start for Jackson. I think this summer we see him make a name for himself on the recruiting side of things before a big senior season.

We wrap up with freshman TE [player_tooltip player_id='2086595' first='Hank' last='Doyle']. This is a lot of projection because Hank didn't play varsity much in 2025, but the already present tools can't be ignored. The freshman already has rare size at 6'6" 200 lbs. That is special itself, but watching him run downfield and execute routes as effortlessly as Hank does makes him even more special. He also has big hands that naturally take the ball out of the air. I have no doubts that the 2029 is ready to work his way into a prevalent Friday night role this season. Coaches, make sure you have Hank on your boards sooner rather than later.
