of Kimberly. The sophomore has a rare frame, already 6’6″ 225 lbs. The leap he made in his flexibility, body control, and overall athleticism has earned him several FBS offers already and moved him into this spot at TE2 in the entire state. This kid is your traditional, inline TE who is going to use his strength to get off the line quick and clean, or to manhandle DEs/edges in the run game. I’m very excited for the next leap in development that we see from the stud TE this year.

made a massive leap in this update after the massive year of development he just put together. Jake earned the #1 spot for pure TE, but you will see him 2nd on the position list behind our #1 overall player who we have ranked as a TE/WR. But when it comes to traditional TEs this is the cream of the crop.
Jake already had a great frame, but the strength added to that frame and the way he is able to move in the trenches and downfield at that size has made massive leaps. His growth in his body control has made him a force as a blocker and a receiving threat. In the run game Jake is able to dominate with the force he can create and with his ability to win the angle and position battle while engaging with a DL. In the receiving game the big man is so smooth getting off the line and through his routes. This is a kid that you can line up next to an OT at the next level and have him make an impact on all three downs. The arrow is pointing straight up for this stud.

Jake is looking more and more the part of a high-level TE recruit with each season. The sophomore has an outstanding frame and is continuing to grow and fill it out. He is now up to 230 lbs, and that added size has made him a big impact in the run game. His highlight reel is loaded up with his run blocking prowess. Jake consistently drives guys off the line several yards and usually washes them far away from the designed gap. His initial pop and leg drive both are backed up with power. Then as a receiver he is showing that he is becoming a smooth athlete in his routes. He can easily cross the field and get into open zones. The 2028 is looking like an athlete with a lot of potential and a very high ceiling. If he continues to grow and fill out that frame more we could even see potential to play on the OL at the next level with his length, and rapidly developing run blocking talents. Either way, big things are coming for Jake.

One of the top TEs on our radar in the Class of 2028 is the Kimberly athlete. Jake brings a rare frame to the field at 6’5″ 205 lbs. With three years to continue to grow and fill out that frame, I can only begin to imagine the mismatch he could provide with his size. The big athlete is able to cover ground well as a route runner, but we could see a big jump in that part of his game as he continues to get more comfortable and flexible within his frame. You also have to love the big catch radius Jake already provides, high pointing the ball, going over DBs to get the ball, and showing off strong hands to secure the catch. I’m pumped to see how Jake looks after this offseason.
